Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Not me, just got in from coaching little league, it would only be the 2nd or 3rd inning for a 9:10 start and now I'm late to the damn party and didn't bring the beer! Yeah... I had to coach tonight as well. I told my team to ten run the other team so I could get home quicker and they did.
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Seems like Fien is coming in for the 8th on the radio
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Why the hell did Mauer not walk? He has to know PLouffe was gonna hit a homer.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 oh yes I think he goes out for eighth, …and I'd love to see a complete game shutout… I wish, but they were congratulating him in the dugout, so I think he's done.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Take that mustachio man!!! PLOUFFEED!!!!!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Where did that come from? http://www.online-inquirer.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/bareknuckle.jpg
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Parm may have pre maturely rounded on that one
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Parm got caught gawking there, shouldn't have been close.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Milt Thayer reminds me of Mike Marshall back when he pitched most nights for Gene Mauch. Dead Ringer... You are right. You have a great eye for spotting Mike Marshall look a likes.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Parm may have pre maturely rounded on that one That's what she said.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 That right field ball girl has been doing a great job She's gonna have a good UZR rating
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I wish, but they were congratulating him in the dugout, so I think he's done. oy Hughsie pulled himself out of a game earlier this month. I wonder why he wouldn't want a chance at the 9-inning shutout.
MNGap Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Sorry I missed it, but what was Hughes pitch count before he came out?
MileHigh_Jake Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 That's what she said. Nobody knows what it means, but its provocative

Don't you think it's because he is really trying to finesse this year. And painting those corners gets harder when you tire. Not much room for error.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Look at Fien fist pumping. Love it!!! Twins are playing ball.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Bremer is doing his best to jinx the Twins. Fien and Dozier will have none of it.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 But this is Berardino's explanation: Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 15m 1-2-3 7th for Hughes. I've got him at 93 pitches. Smith-Headley-Alonso due up in the 8th. All have had good swings tonight. Should be it.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I feel a couple of inside-the-parkers coming in the top of the 9th
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Dustin Morse @Twins_morsecode 14m Over his last 6 starts (including tonight), Phil Hughes has posted a 1.60 ERA (39.1 IP, 7 ER) with 30 strikeouts & 1 walk! #MNTwins I didn't remember that a Twins pitcher's ERA could go that low (even though it is only over a 6 game span).
