stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Pretty good outing for Gibson. If the pen holds it at 3-1, I'll be satisfied. Of course, another blooper and it's 5-1.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Right... Exactly... I took it a step further... I also took the trash out to the dumpster. You know... Just in case her wedding ring fell off and she goes through the garbage looking for it and finds the Dilly Bar wrappers. In my case, the gig would be up the second she noticed I took the trash out.

Might want to zip out and replace them? And so the the life cycle of the Butterfinger Dilly Bars continues...

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 That's it, I'm headed for the gym.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 My wife is probably gonna say something about my eating all 6 Dilly Bars. "Hm I could have swore I got 6 Dilly Bars." ... "RB where are the Dilly Bars?" http://cdn1.akamai.coub.com/coub/simple/cw_gif_big/bd89a9847be/3cb7f79787bc0ba047597/1389292605_ijlc6m_d6xe.gif

Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 How long do the Dodgers go with Grienke?Too long edit: Ok 4 run lead I guess a double isn't necessarily the end of the world for the Dodgers
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 That's it, I'm headed for the gym.Sure, cause the damage then just run away.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 You'd have had me if you weren't talking dilly bars with Bri.I heard that a lot in high school
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 So... How many walks will it take to get back into this game?
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Why is hicks not hitting here?I had the same thought.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 They were out of Butterscotch... I had to get Chocolate... I walked in the door and my wife was doing dishes in the kitchen. I couldn't get to the freezer. Had to stick them under my shirt as I walked past. They were cold and they made me look kinda boxey around the middle. Her cell phone was downstairs so I called it. When she went downstairs I put them in the freezer. When she came back up and asked why I called her... I said "oops musta butt dialed... I'm sorry". Ladies and Gentlemen... Thats how how you stay married for 24 years.

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 That's just sad. Super sad in fact.
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 WTF?!?!?! 3-0 with the bases loaded as the tying run? Now I've seen everything.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I'm ok with the green light there...but it's gotta be a pitch you're sure you can hit hard.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I'm sure the sportwriters in this town will be lauding Plouffe tomorrow for making the brave choice to swing on 3-0 because, there were RISP
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I'm ok with the green light there...but it's gotta be a pitch you're sure you can hit hard. Middle-in, belt high? I think he got it.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Doubleheader tomorrow...prolly shoulda got two boxes. Now that's thinkin' ahead! On the other hand, if they were out of Butterfingers, an excuse to return to see if they're back in stock isn't a bad thing. My current guilty pleasure is simpler... Cheetos and Mountain Dew. (Which long ago, i dubbed Ambrosia and Nectar) Just gotta remember to clean up the orange dust...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I'm ok with the green light there...but it's gotta be a pitch you're sure you can hit hard. I agree... You green light him... But he swung at ball four. Take the run and let Colabello take a shot.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Middle-in, belt high? I think he got it.Looked like it was up in his eyes to me. In any case, like I said, I have no problem with giving him the option to swing there (and that came from the bench, I'm pretty sure), but you gotta be sure it's your pitch. It's the bottom of the 7th, you're down 4, you only have 7 outs left. One swing can tie it, on about as predictable a pitch as you're ever going to see.
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Bert: "Bad decision by Plouffe swinging at that pitch." Bad decision by the Twins to give him the green light. Add to the bad decision to let Fuld hit against the left-hander. Add it up and it's another crappy game managed by Gardy in the late innings. I'm getting pretty tired of this BS.
