  1. The prospect in the trade was Gabriel (Gabby) Gonzales not Emanuel (Emma) Rodriguez. Warning some people around here don't like it when you call Rodriguez Emma, but nobody seems to mind Gabby for Gonzales, go figure. If you ask me, ERod is more annoying, lol. Like it matters
  2. Started out with 6 or 7 fastballs yesterday, today it was the curveball
  3. Duran did not throw the curve. His first 6 or 7 pitches were fastballs. After that is was splitters and fastballs. Velo was good. He had a 100mph splitter. All is well.
  4. Looks like you and I will have different reactions to this little drama. A long losing streak will cause tension. I expect this to blow over. Duran came through Wednesday, that's the best medicine.
  5. The way he played through it last year until the division was wrapped, took a short break, then poured it on for the playoffs was eye opening. What a clutch leader. They don't break the streak without him.
  6. Rocco has never openly criticized Duran before. Rocco usually says things like WE need to be better at this or WE need to do a better job of that. He does this while performing his daily duty of addressing the media. This is a role his players do not share. It is true that there have been a handful of occasions when a player was not holding up their end of the bargain that Baldelli expressed it to the media, for example with Kepler last year before his breakout. This was done as a sort of last resort when things were so bad fans and media were nearly universally calling for Kepler to be released. I believe it was calculated and apparently effective. Yes players often speak to the media, but it is not in the same capacity as the manager.
  7. Rocco is supposed to lead the clubhouse and when one of his charges, in a state of duress, speaks out of turn, react accordingly and firmly. That is what happened.
  8. Prospect hype will do that for a guy. Everybody likely remembers it was said without the injury, he would've gone top five. Keaschall looks like a steal, he's got the tools and looks like a fast riser to me.
  9. Obviously Rocco does not know what he is doing
  10. Well they got the win in spite of the idiotic Rocco
  11. Despite my comments I don't necessarily think SWR should have been removed there. I have reasons why it may have been done.
  12. Maybe, but still doesn't explain the logic of your comment about analytics. I just don't think it made sense and don't agree that Baldelli didn't decide to remove SWR in the moment. I don't agree with many moves Baldelli makes, but the spreadsheet and analytics comments are ridiculous. The guy is a baseball lifer with a highschool education not an ivy League nerd. Rock Baldelli is not qualified for a job on Wall St as suggested.
  13. Okert looked surprised walking off the mound, lol
  14. SWR's velocity was down and he wasn't missing any bats. Pregame analytics had that info?
