  1. Give them Aaron slegers and Daniel Palka. That's fair
  2. Well Braves fans think they'll get at least Kiriloff in return. Another suggested possibly Byron buxton
  3. I wonder if theAstros would have interest in Santana. Think we could get them to give up Francis martes and David Paulino.
  4. Rosario I would be okay shopping. Kepler, no way. He's a corner stone. Even Rosario could be a good piece for the future. Probably wouldn't get the value in a trade for him. Shop Dozier, polanco, Santana, Rosario, and kintzler and see what you can get.
  5. Yes. It's called not being able to just sit on one pitch the entire at bat(fastball). That's all he did in college this past year which is why his numbers jumped so much
  6. Love the investment down there. We have a really strong team and I hope these kids continue that tradition. We are starting to see the fruits in the majors and upper minor leagues. Hope this trend continues
  7. 90-91 is really impressive at that age. Pitchers have to be huge wild cards with international signings but we sure are getting bang for our buck in that department
  8. Exactly. That's my point. I highly doubt the Twins think he is a .240 or below hitter if they are shelling out that type of money
  9. I'm looking at 3 years of data. He is probably equivalent to a 30th round pick
  10. I think we know quite a bit now. He is struggling at the plate against high school kids. Is spending a lot of time at DH early on. And admitted he simply sat on fastballs this last year in college. Wasted pick
  11. How do you pay 3M for a guy with questions on his bat? Any info on the other OF they signed?
  12. He sat on fastballs all year. He even admitted to it. He is a one trick pony and will be exposed at higher levels. That's the real reason why he's starting in rookie league
  13. Wow I get the feeling management must have thought that this kid was a must take and didn't want to risk him falling to 3. They probably figured at least 1 top prospect would fall due to their price tag. Sounds like a great pick
  14. That's how I understand it, unless the rules have changed
  15. You can go over 5% for first 10 rounds. In rounds 11-40 you have a cap of $100K per player. If anyone goes over the $100k than that incremental amount goes towards the first 10 rounds money and the 5%
  16. Imagine we will save some with Leach and use it on our 11 pick
  17. So basically Akil is a guy that looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane
  18. Looks fun. I'll try mine: 1. Gordon 2. Lewis 3. Romero 4. Gonsalves 5. Granite 6. Diaz 7. Kiriloff 8. Javier 9. Rooker 10. vielma 11. Enlow 12. Jorge 13. Blackenhorn 14. Palacios 15. Palka 16. Jay 17. Thorpe 18. Graver 19. Leach 20. Graterol 21. Whitefield 22. Rotrvoedt(sp?) 23. Stewart 24. Curtis 25. Reed
  19. Not much difference between a guy who hasn't signed but will and a guy who has signed but hasn't played yet. Also, have you seen what Granite is doing in AAA??
  20. Hmm maybe they don't like Javier as much as we would hope
  21. Bob have you seen Javier down there? How's he looking? The skeptic in me says the Lewis pick indicates that the front office isn't as big on Javier than the fans at this point
