  1. Looks like I was right about De Leon. He doesn't have much. He's better suited for the bullpen IMO. Never going to make it as a starter. Maybe as a 4 or 5 but is never going to be effective there
  2. Exactly. If he's doing that on 7 days rest, then I'm not sure what 5 days rest would do to him. Not many successful pitchers throwing less than 90 mph at the big league level.
  3. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ervin_Santana
  4. Fun fact: Ervin Santana's birth name was Johan Santana but he changed it as he was coming up through the minors because there was another pitcher named Johan Santana.
  5. Buxton has more RBIs today (2) than all other games this season combined
  6. I think Dozier might lead the league in solo homerun a this year
  7. Did he play football for the Wisconsin Badgers?
  8. Disappointed in blankenhorn. Thought he'd be doing better or in ft. Myers. Cabbage is starting to look like a bust. Too bad. Really liked those two picks. Gordon looking good. I'm high on Vielma too. If Greene is our pick I think he's instantly our top prospect. McKay might be too, but I'd probably put him at 2. Hope we get some more infield help in the draft. In the first 10 rounds we should probably draft 7 pitchers and rest be infield help
  9. 3 hit batters seems like a lot. Very few walks though. How is his control?
  10. was looking at his stats last night but couldn't find the one I was looking for. Any clue how many hits per inning he was giving up?
  11. Just looking at stats I think the Twins would be crazy not to draft McKay 1-1. Like Greene a lot but there's so much more risk and his performance in high school is not as strong as McKays in college. McKay has the pitches. He may have the best bat in the draft too. I think these 2 are a clear cut 1-2 in this draft but hard to separate at the top.
  12. I have always been in the Greene camp but I'm warming up to McKay. Biggest reservation is that I don't believe he could be an Ace. Greene has that potential
  13. A former Twins prospect went that route as well. Dave Shinskie spent a year as the Boston College starting QB
  14. Who the hell is giminez. I realize he's our 2nd catcher but what's his background?
  15. Impressed by the patience coming from both Kepler and Sano. They both worked a full count after falling behind 0-2.
  16. Former rule v pick Miguel Diaz is pitching for San Diego in a close game Looks to have pretty good stuff. Wish we kept him instead of Haley
  17. In case anyone is wondering here is how the twins original rule 5 pick is doing. http://eastvillagetimes.com/2017/03/padres-rule-5-draftees-progressing-through-spring-training/ TLDR: high upside, should stick all year, command is a question mark
  18. Do we have any spots open on the 40 man? If May gets tommy John does that open up a spot?
  19. I really like Romero so I should probably resist saying this but our system is lacking top talent if he's our number one. We probably have 10 top 5-7 types but really lacking the upper echelon talent. Romero is by far our best prospect but in a good year he's probably 2-3 type
  20. I think I'd rather have the 3 taken immediately after Jay. I still have hope he turns up better than Fullmer
  21. Eh. Rather not say. I was in school back then and the ESPN days and trolled too much. I didn't love the switch over but the mobile site here now is much better than it was when this first started
