  1. Did he play football for the Wisconsin Badgers?
  2. Disappointed in blankenhorn. Thought he'd be doing better or in ft. Myers. Cabbage is starting to look like a bust. Too bad. Really liked those two picks. Gordon looking good. I'm high on Vielma too. If Greene is our pick I think he's instantly our top prospect. McKay might be too, but I'd probably put him at 2. Hope we get some more infield help in the draft. In the first 10 rounds we should probably draft 7 pitchers and rest be infield help
  3. 3 hit batters seems like a lot. Very few walks though. How is his control?
  4. was looking at his stats last night but couldn't find the one I was looking for. Any clue how many hits per inning he was giving up?
  5. Just looking at stats I think the Twins would be crazy not to draft McKay 1-1. Like Greene a lot but there's so much more risk and his performance in high school is not as strong as McKays in college. McKay has the pitches. He may have the best bat in the draft too. I think these 2 are a clear cut 1-2 in this draft but hard to separate at the top.
  6. I have always been in the Greene camp but I'm warming up to McKay. Biggest reservation is that I don't believe he could be an Ace. Greene has that potential
  7. A former Twins prospect went that route as well. Dave Shinskie spent a year as the Boston College starting QB
  8. Who the hell is giminez. I realize he's our 2nd catcher but what's his background?
  9. Impressed by the patience coming from both Kepler and Sano. They both worked a full count after falling behind 0-2.
  10. Former rule v pick Miguel Diaz is pitching for San Diego in a close game Looks to have pretty good stuff. Wish we kept him instead of Haley
  11. In case anyone is wondering here is how the twins original rule 5 pick is doing. http://eastvillagetimes.com/2017/03/padres-rule-5-draftees-progressing-through-spring-training/ TLDR: high upside, should stick all year, command is a question mark
  12. Do we have any spots open on the 40 man? If May gets tommy John does that open up a spot?
  13. I really like Romero so I should probably resist saying this but our system is lacking top talent if he's our number one. We probably have 10 top 5-7 types but really lacking the upper echelon talent. Romero is by far our best prospect but in a good year he's probably 2-3 type
  14. I think I'd rather have the 3 taken immediately after Jay. I still have hope he turns up better than Fullmer
  15. Eh. Rather not say. I was in school back then and the ESPN days and trolled too much. I didn't love the switch over but the mobile site here now is much better than it was when this first started
  16. Looking forward to seeing what Jax can do. Love the military background. That will serve him well with a work ethic to make it to the majors. He made the right choice by going to the Air Force academy. That type of education and training will serve him well even when he is done with sports
  17. I'm okay with the non move here. Don't sell pennies on the dollar when you have 2 years to potentially get more (or at least production out of him)
  18. And with the prospects changing hands over the winter, just shows the market is recognizing how much risks prospects hold and are valuing proven talent (such as dozier) very highly
  19. All the prospect lists. Baseball America. MLB.com. Etc. That's why I always laugh when they say he's "x" on this and this prospect list. They are useless. Calhoun is trash
  20. Those are off limits. We want to win now if we acquire kershaw and those are the key pieces.
  21. Do any of guys think we could get the dodgers to give up kershaw? That would solve our pitching problem and presumably help them with their money situation. Their view of their prospects is that their window is in 3-4 years. Maybe instead of going the dozier route, maybe we take the bring kershaw to dozier route. We have the pieces. I think Tyler Jay, Felix Jorge, Daniel Palka and a guy like JT chargois would be enough
