  1. Another wtf pick. A pitcher who has a fastball around 86-88?
  2. He had a good scouting report on MLB.com but it looks like he went to Baltimore
  3. Hope tanner burns drops to us in 4th
  4. After seeing Aaron judge I'm less concerned about older college hitters
  5. Love or hate this draft, it is going to be incredibly easy to criticize if it doesn't work out for them
  6. Was about to type this as well from reading the scouting report
  7. I actually liked the Lewis pick but that was the assumption that they got another top end talent. Rooker okay, some more savings, but Carlson still on the board. Landon Leach? Yikes. Only plus side that I like is that he hasn't pitched a long time so there's upside like berrios but not sure how you pass on Carlson there.
  8. If we don't draft Carlson, I wonder why he fell. It's got to be carlson
  9. Man Mauer was phenomenal before he tore his knee too. Part of me wonders if he would've been better had he never done so. It was such a freak play. Slid on a foul ball if I remember correctly
  10. Btw was McKay drafted as a 1B. My mlb feed is choppy. What was everyone's thoughts on his interview. Couldn't really watch it
  11. It's an underslot deal and supposedly killed it in workouts. Big fan of the pick especially if it's underslot and we get good high school pitching at 35 or 37. The top pitching prospects didn't do much for me this year.
  12. My picks 1. Gore 2. Greene 3. Lewis 4. Wright 5. Adele or however you spell it 6. McKay
  13. Why is Greene's strikeouts low? Does his fastball not have movement
  14. Because you risk falling in the draft to a lessor slot amount. You come to an agreement with the team stating that you'll sign for x amount if they take you at 1-1, which should be above the slot where they think they might fall but less than the slot at 1-1.
  15. Looks like I was right about De Leon. He doesn't have much. He's better suited for the bullpen IMO. Never going to make it as a starter. Maybe as a 4 or 5 but is never going to be effective there
  16. Exactly. If he's doing that on 7 days rest, then I'm not sure what 5 days rest would do to him. Not many successful pitchers throwing less than 90 mph at the big league level.
  17. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ervin_Santana
  18. Fun fact: Ervin Santana's birth name was Johan Santana but he changed it as he was coming up through the minors because there was another pitcher named Johan Santana.
  19. Buxton has more RBIs today (2) than all other games this season combined
  20. I think Dozier might lead the league in solo homerun a this year
