    Brandon Winokur is a big guy. Ripped it into the gap. Thought he might get limited to a single because the outfielders did a really good job cutting it off but Winokur has some really good speed for his size and got in easily. gabrial Gonzalez just chased a really bad one low and outside to strike out. in the field culpepper and de Andrade look the part physically. De Andrade made a really nice play at 3B on a tough ground ball with strong and accurate through to get the guy out at first

    New Beloit stadium and food options are so much nicer than when twins were an affiliate. Though this new stadium has more corporate feel to it rather than hometown feel

    Made it to the game. Got here and they got the last out to end the first but they’re already down 5-0. Hopefully the rest of the game goes well. Will report how some of the prospects look

    It’s basically Gonzalez for Polanco. They really threw crap against on wall and took fliers here. Quantity over quality.. Must’ve really just wanted to dump the payroll.

    I swear twins fans are the dumbest fans out there. Always wanting to give away top talent for nothing. As mentioned, Goldschmidt is aging. We are in a race and could use Kiriloff. Give them a couple prospect that looks good but have warts. Someone like Blayne Enlow, Noah miller and Matt Canterino should be on table for Goldschmidt. Not Kiriloff

    $1.5M signing on a $900K slot value. Very nice! He ended up getting the slot value of a mid-late 2nd round pick (equivalent to pick 55). My guess is that we saved a bit on our second round pick.

    Padres got Bogaraets for 11 years 280M. Hopefully that should take them out of the Correa conversation

    Mercedes definitely is. Acuna might be fringe. Publications will probably wait on Acuna and Rodriguez to see success at a higher level before putting in top 30.

    Came here to post this. Mercedes seems like the real deal. Doing a bit of everything including stolen bases. Acuna struggled early but now his numbers look great. He has a very pretty swing like his brother. Jose Rodriguez… I could have sworn he was a big signing but whenever I Google him, seems like just an after mention when he initially signed. Hanging around the top of the league in Home runs. One of the most impressive performers in the league. Hope he can continue developing and proving my initial thought that he was a big signing. These guys are going to be fun to follow next year and perhaps a reason why the team was more college orientated in the draft to stagger the talent a bit.

    Yeah I laughed at that comment too. He will have to adjust to that in pro ball, especially the twins organization.

    Makes me curious how much he was asking for. $50K bonus is probably the most he could expect. Probably less... Good luck to him raising his stock.

    They don’t say “if you are there 40 picks later, are you asking for this” they ask “what number do you need to get to, to get signed?” they say “3 million” for example and twins agree. then the players agent tells other teams that “$3m is the amount it will take for the player to sign” and if they don’t want to pay that, he falls the extra picks. that is how Brock porter fell. He agreed to a number and the rangers were only one that could get to the number because they saved on rocker up front.

    Awesome! We finally got the shortstop we needed!

    The fed has printed 40% of the money supply in the last year alone. With the impending inflation, teams would have to be stupid not to want to lock in long term deals this year. I am fairly confident that in 2-3 years, all of these deals are going to look like huge bargains.
