Injuries, sure. That’s why I didn’t include Buxton. We seem to lead the way with top prospects with Knee or Tommy John injuries though, which are obviously much more serious
Why do our top prospects either get knee injuries or Tommy John? Off the top of my head; Joe Mauer Miguel Sano Alex Kiriloff Royce Lewis Jason Kubel Francisco Liriano Luis arraez
I like the move. Prefer this to Marwin and I think this safely rules him out. It looks like Polanco will play more of a utility role or fight over 2B with Arraez. I do think Polanco would be a better 2B in the future so wouldn’t mind that move. I actually prefer him to Arraez longer term. This also sets up nicely for Lewis to take over in 2022
Was about to post the same thing. Musgrove is a really good option and likely cheap. With the minor leagues in such a flux I’d be willing to open the prospect book for Castillo too. I’d give them Larnach, Rooker, Javier and Enlow for Castillo. That’s quite a bit... especially for me who tends to like to keep prospects. I would give much much less for Musgrove
So now that Rosario is gone, we are going to hate on Polanco? What’s wrong with him? Hes young, has some of the best at bats on the team, cheap contract, and solid on D
Why do writers live below average potential players like Cave but then hate Rosario? It’s beyond bizarre. It reminds me of all the “geniuses” who thought Bobby Kielty was the next Ted Williams when I said we robbed them in that trade for Shannon Stewart
Yep. If Boston views him as damaged then they shouldn’t be allowed to keep him and get more. Should be a replacement with other top prospects like a combo of 2 of the following group: Lewis Thorpe, Luke Raley or Nick Gordon
Yeah Graterol for Maeda is a steep price but perhaps fair given Graterols medical history. Any more than that? Forget it. We could use a dominant guy like Graterol in our bullpen this year.
Would the twins have the same principle? Pay him what he’s worth. The last few years we got more value out of him than we paid (even including the draft). Like I said, Berrios will win this case quite easily
