  1. What determines if a player signs for slot, above or below? Draft position obviously has some impact on salary but not necessarily. Blows my mind though that Lopez would only get $30k but anyone after round 10 could get $100k and benningoff got $600k. I mean how does Lopez not even get $100k?
  2. Vielma has been having a hell of a year. Any chance he gets a September cup of coffee?
  3. Don't worry. They'll be telling him to swing like a man in no time
  4. Wander Javier was 1-1 but then was taken out, someone pinch ran for him. Wonder if he tweaked a hammy and is out for a bit
  5. Wasnt a fan of the Kirilloff pick until I really broke it down and saw what we have for OF talent in the organization (granite, our premier players are graduated from prospects to young talent at that position)
  6. I wonder how the players feel that get drafted now just because of their family ties. Trey Griffey was selected by Seattle solely for the press they can say they drafted Ken's kid. Trey didnt even play baseball the last few years.
  7. Looked at an Arkansas forum and it looks like theyre worried Benninghoff will leave as well. Should be interesting to keep an eye on him.
  8. The twins have a number of young arms that are going to come up at the same time and give the team a very strong rotation. Just think about it for a minute... I think Tyler Jay will be our #1, Berios/Gonsalves our #2/#3. Kohl Stewart has potential to be a 2 and we don't even need him to be, he can be our #4. Then we have a lot of young guns that are not as far advanced but have a lot of potential like Jorge/Romero etc. Our rotation in the majors is very rough at the moment, but the future looks very promising.
