    It sounds like he may be in extended spring training for a couple weeks based on those quotes. Whatever sets him up for the most success is what I want, but for selfish reasons, it would be nice to watch him in Cedar Rapids.

    Conspiracy theory: He has deal in place with the Twins. Just waiting until Feb 13th so the Twins don’t have to take anyone else off 40 man roster

    It reminds me when 1%er politicians tell us that $1,000 is crumbs and that it makes no difference to us if we get it or not. Meanwhile, they have $1K dinners and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on in flight alcohol on tax payer dimes

    Yeah for sure. A ton of young prospects too. The Cedar Rapids team could be stacked with prospects early in the season. Few guys I think could end up there: 1) Baddoo 2) Enlow 3) Lewis (perhaps, to start the year at least) 4) Javiar 5) Kiriloff 6) Graterol 7) Miranda 8) Bechtold 9) Jovani Moran 10) Leach (perhaps, late in year)

    Have a stronger bullpen has to be attractive for Darvish. I know I would love it if I had Buxton behind me and these guys coming in if I got in trouble. Is it true that insurance could cover portion of Hughes? Could we trade him to a team along with international money to take the contract off our hands?

    Agree that there’s a ton to watch this year. Some will take a step back but others could really break out and it will be a lot of fun to see

    Yep. I think they just saw too much risk with the pitchers for the #1 overall pick. I’m just glad we didn’t get the kid out of Louisville. Between him, Greene, wright and the NC kid, one of the pitchers could turn out to be a stud. Hard to say who though. Hopefully Enlow and Leach erase some of that pain though

    Individually they’re fine. We have too many of these fringe signings. Rodney makes the least amount of sense. Just my opinion So far the front office does way too much hype and then ends up doing nothing. See it in trade department and free agents. So far they have been bad in this department and the rule V draft. They did do an alright job in the rule iV draft though. I give them a B-

    Is part of baseball flexibility? Especially from the catcher position. Hope he doesn’t bulk up too much more

    Obviously you’d like to see kids have success in short season ball but it’s not the end of the world. Torii Hunter struggled in his first season as well. I’ll admit that those examples are the outliers but it’s far too early to give up on a kid.

    MLB.com ranks Pearson 22 in the Twins system. The mariners prospect is not listed in our top 30

    Can we trade our international money to Seattle? Maybe try and grab Sam Carlson?

    I would try him in the bullpen. Might get a couple more ticks and figure this guy out. Definitely would be worth a look
