  1. Yeah, it’s a real sore spot for me. Still, I derailed the thread, sorry for the detour everyone.
  2. Two hours? I'm serious when I said I checked ESPN, PFT and even CNN after I saw your post, it wasn't anywhere. And why are you making it sound like I was defending Rice when I clearly was saying I wouldn't trust a thing I solely gleaned from the much derided and discredited X platform. It needs to go away; it is the world's biggest source of propaganda, disinformation and fear mongering. Unless someone actually knew that poster, how could you even determine that it was an actual human being? Waiting two hours for Mike Florio to vet the claim doesn't seem like such a terrible use of patience with the pitchforks. Ugh, I'm sorry for my tone. I know you and I are similar in our societal beliefs. I'm just really frustrated with the world that the norm is to now take random unvetted comments from social media and treat it as news. It's not news because journalists confirm sources. So if PFT, ESPN or CNN have to take a beat to do the leg work, perfect, it's how it should be. Mostly it's the people I don't see eye-to-eye who weaponize it, but I absolutely don't want to give clicks to their favorite tool.
  3. Come on, that was timestamp at 9:16, which was obvious while I was posting. I said a half dozen times I understood that I was missing context, but I’m not going to feel bad for not taking X innuendos as gospel. It’s not real journalism; so I’m happy actual journalists made the effort to disseminate this. Anyway, yeah, Rice snd Diggs can share a jail cell.
  4. The photos are terrible. Rice can go to jail and burn in hell. Truly, I’m just missing something with this as I don’t see where she says he did this to her. X and Elon can also go to jail and burn in hell and I have no interest in downloading that useless app so I apologize if I’ve lost context, I’ll sit this out until I can understand more from CNN, ESPN or even PFT. I looked to find out more but haven’t seen anything yet.
  5. Seriously, I’m not familiar with the platform. Mea culpa if she actually accused him of that. Is she KB? I don’t follow.
  6. Rashee Rice? Yeah the street racing thing was already bad. Im no anti-me-too caveman, but I might want to hear more about this. Reading the post, She says all kinds of dislikable things about him, but no physical abuse? I don’t do X though so maybe I don’t understand how this all works. Maybe there’s more I’m not seeing, but if he’s beating her, why didn’t she mention it?
  7. Things can change for sure, but I guess I didn't remember too much excitement about those three. People talked about them, but it seemed like it was more so due to a lack of other QBs to talk about. I remember more speculation about whether Manning would declare than if they would be good. Right now, I think Sayin and Manning would have to take a big step back for them to be in the same boat. And I like Sellers and Maiava way better than I ever liked them too.
  8. Right, except you stopped following baseball trends around 1985. He obviously has the talent, and he's showed that before. The adaption is the problem. 23-year-olds can't do their own laundry, yet they're supposed to understand how to adjust their swing planes, identify pitch patterns and improve their exit velocity? Hey, maybe the last coaches were great, and all the players were lost causes. OR since we still have those players, we can at least see if the new coaches can help these young people better understand how and why they need to adapt. I get that young people are the bane of your existence, but historically speaking, they do make for the best professional athletes if they have the help to understand the physics.
  9. The Ravens have requested interviews with Anthony Weaver and Klint Kubiak. The Weaver interview is a good sign for the Vikings holding on to Flores. Weaver is a youthful DC but cut his teeth with the Ravens. But so far I haven't heard Flores mentioned for any interviews, and most teams have not only announce a half dozen but started holding them. This is complete BS, he's a better candidate then just about everyone out there. Good for the Vikings though.
  10. He could definitely be this year's Jaxon Dart. The national draft wonks keep focusing on their same top three QBs while the teams who are doing their own evals and are less likely to fall for group-think end up rating him in the top two or three.
  11. Next year's QB class is looking pretty good right now, Moore might want to try his hand now when there's little competition.
  12. Yeah, he's small with a weak arm, he screams zero upside game manger at best. I really, don't like this QB class. The one guy I'd be interested in later in the draft is John Mateer. Not great numbers this year, but his coach at Oklahoma, Brent Venabals, clearly has zero idea what to do with the QB position, so I'd take a flyer on the chance it was coaching and not talent. But the Vikings can't and won't pick a mid-to-late round QB anyway. They won't move on from McCarthy, and they will 100% get a known back up QB. So anyone they draft they would have to hope can slip to the practice squad.
  13. Particularly the ones who inherited their wealth instead of figuring out how to become wealthy on their own.
  14. Rocco Baldelli? The team does have a new manager and the old one and his staff repeatedly demonstrated an inability to teach, adjust and give opportunities when young players struggled. And of all the players on the roster, Lewis was clearly the most frustrated by them. Lewis may very well still bust, but if the idea is that the new manager can get better results from young players, then the most physically gifted player on the team is the most likely to improve.
  15. I'm thinking there's a ton of 'group think' going on with NFL coaching hires. Why is everybody interviewing Matt Nagy? He last was a HC back in 2021 where things didn't go great with the Bears. Since then he's been back with KC where he's still not calling the plays and KC is coming off of their worst offensive season in over a decade. I could see why one or two teams might get the bright idea to kick the tires on him, but why is EVERYONE interested? And also why is nearly 60-year-old Lou Anarumo getting so many interviews? With him as DC, the Colts were an overall average defense at best and this comes after getting fired in Cincinnati where it's nearly impossible to get fired. And these aren't Rooney Rule guys who teams will give token interviews to, these are middle-aged (generous term) white dudes. The only thing I can think of is that if John Mara or Arthur Blank want to interview a guy, the other water-carrying and ineffectual owners think, "Oooh, I better interview that guy too!"
  16. I'm sure Flores would take the job if offered. It kind of feels like Jackson maybe needs to be handled with kids gloves at this point though. Not sure Flores has a pair of those.
  17. And if he wants to keep working in football, there's certainly a TV gig available to him.
  18. Now I see AZ is interviewing Klint Kubiak. If he got that job, I'd bet rumors of Cousins to AZ heat up real fast. They have the 3rd pick in the draft but both the Raiders and Jets will be presumed to be looking at (over)drafting a QB. And even if they don't, AZ and the rest of the league won't know they're passing on a QB until free agency is basically over.
  19. And Arraez was signed in 2014, so another Terry Ryan era player.
  20. Good coach who over-stayed his welcome. He'll probably get interviews at the top spots right away, but he should take a year off. That guy reallllly needs to rethink his offensive approach. If he just takes what he's doing in Baltimore to New York or Tennessee it won't work. Refresh, reset and study what worked for other teams that have changed their strategies while you kept yours the same for nearly two decades. It's not even remotely the same sport as it was back then. I also realize this post could have been exactly the same for Mike Tomlin had the kicking situation turned out differently Sunday night.
  21. AZ has awful ownership, but great offensive weapons. Trey McBride just gave Jacoby Brissett a career best season at the age of 33. It should be an attractive landing spot for a QB. Also, Aaron Rodgers worked pretty much exactly as Pittsburgh hoped he would, I'll bet they've already talked about trying that route again next year with Cousins. If I were Cousins, I'd tell them to get rid of Arthur Smith first though.
  22. No, it stems more recently than 2018. They should have had more than E-rod pop up on lists since then. And E-rod first cracked the top ten back in 2023. But like I said, there's a new guy running the international side of things as of two years ago, so maybe they're better at this and the young players since then will pop.
  23. There aren't enough starters for 32 teams. If you're one of the seven or so teams that need a QB and can't get Daniel Jones, don't trust Kyler Murray or can't trade for Mac Jones (still don't buy into him) Cousins is going to look pretty good when compared to what's left.
  24. I think there's zero chance Cousins willingly goes anywhere that doesn't make him the week 1 starter. I can't see him willingly 'battle' for a starting job while watching someone like Jacoby Brissett or Marcus Mariota or Carson Wentz land a sure thing.
  25. Things may be different, but they do have Gabriel Gonzalez, Kendry Rojas and Eduardo Tait in their top 10. So OTHER teams are doing fine with international signings. Instead of making good calls on evals of these players while they were still overseas, the Twins had to trade Polanco, Duran and Varland just to get these kinds of prospects on their roster. But I'll also be fair. The Twins did promote Kevin Goldstein to be the International Scouting Director two years ago. So obviously when we're talking about teenagers, two years is too early to evaluate if he's improved things. Probably shouldn't have taken seven years to take action on an area that clearly the team was failing at, but I guess now we wait.... as always.
