  1. Which sucks, but they still should beat Flacco. But clearly veteran QBs do have a significant advantage over the young guys against this D. Flacco is more Aaron Rodgers than Stafford and Goff though, so the Vikings should still win. And if they don't, then we can pack away our anxiety about the season because it will already be over. And that's not pessimism on my part. I much prefer the seasons where we know it ain't happening over the seasons where it ain't happening but they string us along until week 15.
  2. Game cast had it listed as a deep pass, so I'd guess it was well down field.
  3. Of course, the only time Willis throws downfield it goes for 50 yards and puts GB in position for the game winning FG.
  4. Well the Browns just screwed up by throwing a TD. Still a minute left. Should have just picked up the first down, ran out the clock and kicked the FG.
  5. Has Rodgers demanded to be traded yet?
  6. And Kyler Murray hasn't even played well. Yet. I could see any of those four NFC West teams winning the division with the right break or two.
  7. The Bucs without their WRs also have a chance and the Dolphin Cardinal game is going down to the last drive too.
  8. Baltimore about to take the lead, but with a perfect amount of time left to let Jameis Winston lead the Browns down for a game winning drive. Lot's a crazy games this week. Patriots, Jags and Colts all with a chance too.
  9. I'd rather be a half game back with the same number of losses if I have the head to head win.
  10. Now PFT is saying Love left with a groin injury.
  11. Sounds like he re-aggravated his previously injured knee. After he went out, the Packers put together an 8 play drive to score. Seven of those plays were runs. Seems like the Jaguars should have known that was the plan with Willis in there but looks like their D didn't even put up a fight.
  12. So Jameis Winston has Cleveland making it a game against the Ravens. Have to feel bad for the Browns, if only there was anyone saying that moving on from DeShawn Watson was the right decision earlier.......... And Jordan Love is out again.
  13. Anthony Richardson is 2 for 15 passing?!? So the Vikings will be facing Flacco next week?
  14. If there's a controllable OL who can play a passable tackle this year, and move inside next year, I'd be pretty interested. But not sure who that player would be. Honestly, I probably look to trade Addison this off season anyway. I don't like how he's trending, both on the field and off.
  15. I wouldn’t be against trading Addison for LT help. I’m not convinced he’s even better than Nailor. Addison still has tons of control, he’d be attractive to a rebuild team. Not sure what else I’d want back in addition to what’s likely only an average at best tackle, but I wouldn’t be terribly stubborn about it. And if he’s whining now, it’s not going to help his value later. Does Montana have a team? That state famously has no speed limit.
  16. Yeah, definitely not a trap game, the Rams were where O'Connell cut his teeth. No way he was overlooking them.
  17. Have they blitzed that much lately? The last three games were the first three against veteran QBs. I’m wondering if the shock and awe approach is reserved for the kids. Either way, what’s happening now isn’t as effective. But I can’t figure Josh Mettelus. Last year he was one of the few guys that could do the blitz-or-cover switcheroo. He was making plays at the line of scrimmage and backfield every game. Now he’s just used as a coverage nickleback.
  18. It's such an easy call, every GD one of them should be radioed in from New York. And I hope the radio call goes something like, "Hey Stevie Wonder, that was a facemask, throw the flag."
  19. So Darrisaw's injury is reportedly a knew injury? Based on the video, the defensive player landed fairly low on the side of his shin and I figured he broke his tibia or fibula. I didn't see the twisting kind of action you normally see with torn ligaments. This could be the (too many) IPAs talking (don't judge, I took tomorrow off work!), but maybe the MCL just got stretched and it turns out to be just a strain.
  20. Yup, here we go. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nfl-must-make-face-mask-fouls-reviewable It'll be reviewable next year, at which point the Vikings are going to end up on the wrong end of it.
  21. Sorry, only happening if it happens against the Cowboys or Aaron Rodgers.
  22. To be fair, in the first five games Jones had six tackles for loss and seven QB hits including five sacks, all while playing less than 50% of the snaps. He WAS doing exactly what they wanted from him. I'm not surprised it was going to take more than two games for them to give Turner his reps. And, while I'd switch to Turner now, I wouldn't be surprised if they give Jones more rope. He was one of the things that was working early. Really, I think missing Cashman is a bigger deal than we thought. I don't know how to look for the stats, but the best part about Greenard, Van Ginkel and Jones was that they could drop back into coverage OR blitz. Clearly, Pace has no business being on the field in coverage situations and I'd guess those guys are picking up some of the slack.
  23. That was photoshopped. This was the real video:
  24. Funny because I went to LA three years ago to watch the Vikings play the Chargers and the Lakers ALSO played the Wolves. At least MN split that one, with the Vikings winning. LeBron didn't even play against the Wolves, but we were already four breweries in so we didn't much care.
  25. True, but that's probably because facemasks like that are obvious and no one expects them to miss it.
