  1. Great to see Pujols wearing the correct shade of red again!

Yep -- he's on the short list of favorite non-Twins. I'm a Twins fan, obviously, but there's not many MLB experiences better than seeing the sea of red at a Cardinals game, and the love for Albert was palpable.

I agree 100%.  He is a consummate professional.  In a perfect world he would have spent his whole career in St. Louis.

  2. I'm not sure there's really a wrong answer here. He could also do a lot of damage being the runner on too. He's clearly a distraction on the bases, and that's adventageous to the hitters down the lineup.
  3. Winder is likely to play a role in the Twins fate this season whether he's on the opening day roster or not. And if this team doesn't bring in any more rotation options, you have to fill out a rotation somehow. If he earns the spot, I don't know why you wouldn't let him pitch. He'll likely struggle like most rookies, so holding him back because of that is foolhardy.
  4. I'm assuming that they aren't done, but I don't think they're going to make any more splashes. I still think Sanchez gets flipped.
  5. This is brilliant! Though, if this guy can pitch, he might be worth taking a look at! I won't be the one having to endure the death-by-small talk.
  6. You're both wrong. It was my idea!
  7. You expect a player that expensive to actually play? Can't break him!
  8. @Squirrel Your commercial is on again. Just keep watching the game. The song is on repeat!
  9. I'm reading the abridged version. It left out some words.
  10. I thought game thread "rules" state that we talk about basically anything but baseball?
  11. I'm not a fan of Velveeta, so I'm not sure I'm willing to take that risk.
  12. She should probably listen to her father if she's set on marrying a block of processed cheese.
  13. That's fair, and true. I'll stop at twice though. I don't have a need for Velveeta.
  14. Why twice? And should the counting continue to three, will Velveeta spontaneously appear?
  15. I didn't hear it, but the google tells me it's set to the tune of O Mio Babbino Caro.
  16. Having Lewis at the bottom with his speed, and Buxton leading off with his speed could be quite entertaining. Even moreso if the game was being played in 1985 when SB were a thing.
  17. We can't have continuity at SS. It's like baseball law or something!
  18. So, does that mean that I should aspire to have more or fewer Jucy Lucy's? And where does Scotch work into this equation?
  19. Agreed. I'm pretty comfortable with what we're going to get with Correa. We'll get plenty of time to see him. Lewis is the one I'm most intrigued by. It's too bad that spring training is so short. It would be fun to see Martin, Lewis, Buxton and Correa in the same lineup. Not sure how they'd all fit, but it would be fun nonetheless.
  20. It might take some time to get their rhythm, but I'm not too concerned about it.
