    I hope that the Twins find a way to make this deal. It seems to me that Correa is unlikely to be worth the remaining value of his contract, and based on what I have seen his defense has been declining. Even if this is a salary dump, I am OK with it. Hopefully new owners will come in and use the savings wisely.

    If the prospective new owners are watching then the price should drop by at least $100 million after this debacle.

    What if the Cubs were willing to take on Correa and his salary to sweeten the deal? Is there some other big market team who would view Correa as an upgrade and be willing to take on his remaining contract to get Ryan, or maybe Duran or Jax?

    I am boycotting the games at Dodgers stadium next week. If the Twins can't make a good effort then I won't either.

    I have read that lots of contending teams would like to trade for Paul Skenes, and that he will probably hit free agency before the Pirates can build a contending team around him. Also, the Pirates keep saying that Skenes is not available for trade. Obviously, trading Skenes would alienate their fan base, but arguably it would be a smart move for the Pirates because they can't build a strong team before Skenes departs. What if the Twins offered an All Star starter (Joe Ryan) and a high ceiling MLB player (Royce Lewis or Matt Wallner) in return? Also, the Twins have some great prospects that might be included. I wonder what it would take to get the Pirates to consider trading Skenes to the Twins?
