  1. Great ending to a great series of articles.
  2. One of the most moving moments in my baseball life, and I was 2,000 miles away.
  3. I wish that the Twins would bring him back as a coach.
  4. Great article! I am loving this series.
  5. Hopefully they can be negotiating trades during the lockout, then pull the trigger when the lockout ends.
  6. Double the amount of padding on the outfield wall. Make it virtually impossible to get injured by running into the wall.
  7. I am glad to see Eddie honored as MVP of the series.
  8. Graterol just hit 102 on the radar gun.
  9. If the Braves win then Eddie should easily be the series MVP.
  10. Just saw Eddie hit a 3 run blast that puts the Braves up 4 to 1. Amazing clutch hit when behind in the count.
  11. I am disappointed about the Kernels loss, but pleased with their season.
  12. I don't disagree with you, but think that people like this because it feels good to perceive potential greatness in a prospect who is on a hot streak. There is reason to hope that Ryan could become a #1 or #2 pitcher. I have hope for this kid and that hope makes me happy. This has been a depressing season and Ryan is helping some of us feel less disgusted. You are clearly correct from a factual perspective, but please consider that the hype may be giving him some extra confidence and he may even match the hype over time. It might also help to turn off the sound on your TV -- kind of like being at the game in person because there are no announcers. Then you don't have to listen to any hype, and if you see Ryan have a bad night then you can (if you wish) turn the sound on to hear the announcers make excuses and/or eat crow, I have watched entire games without the sound, because the announcers can be annoying,

I agree that is sad and am going to actively celebrate the Lynx.

    Saddest sports city

Some posters have suggested that Minnesota is the worst sports "city" in North America. I did some googling and this was my first hit -- https://mikedropsports.com/ranking-12-saddest-sports-cities-in-north-america/ As you can see, there are many sad stories, but Minnesota is ranked as the saddest city. Then I came across a site that rated Detroit #1 and Minnesota # 5 -- https://www.trainwrecksports.com/the-top-10-worst-sports-cities-in-america-1-5/ I think that the difference boils down to how much weight is given to making the playoffs versus winning championships. It's been a long time since a Minnesota team won the championship in a major sport -- the 1991 Twins? And during that time the Vikings, Timberwolves and Wild have been disappointing. All of that said, if there is such a thing as karma -- and I believe that there is -- the negative attitude of fans may be having some effect. I wish that there was some way to change that. Any ideas would be appreciated.
  18. The chart showing the increases in Ober's velocity is encouraging. Ober may never be Randy Johnson, but his height gives him a lot of leverage on the ball.
