  1. I would like to see him come up, but think that he first needs at least one decent appearance in AAA.
  2. An excellent game and great writeup.
  3. Great writeup, Allen. I wish that Austin Martin would have fewer hit by pitches
  4. I enjoyed the videos about the '91 Twins.
  5. Great writeup, and thanks for the updates regarding the playoff pictures.
  6. It looks like they have had some litigation and the company has not yet generated any revenue. It would be nice if you could sell some calls to hedge, but options don't see to be available for this one. I hope for your sake that they can get one of their drugs approved.
  7. Which stock?
  8. I am wondering if he might be able to get to 94-96 on his fastball if he can further develop his core strength.
  9. Ober is a large man. Perhaps he can build up his strength and generate greater velocity and durability.
  10. I am leaving this for the experts. Perhaps there is some good reason for limiting his pitch counts, bit they still want him out there every 5 days to build stamina. I think that it might be nice if he could split games with one of the prospects.
  11. I think that he probably has at least one more good year in him. And he will hopefully make the rest of this season more bearable. Ideally they can sign him for next season, and it's possible that they trade him next year if that makes sense at the time.
  12. I see no bad that can come from this. ?
  13. At first glance Scherff looks promising. https://www.milb.com/player/alex-scherff-669085
  14. Great report and a great night for the farm system.
  15. Windy the Pegasus. I wonder if somehow this could jinx the entire system. Those tiny wings are barely enough for a bird and could never support a horse.
  16. Who should play right field if Kepler is traded or given a limited role?
  17. Good article. And I am rooting for this kid.
  18. I am wondering how the Young trade is relevant here.
  19. You are welcome. I can understand why you feel the way that you do. I can also understand Nick's desire to make the world a better place. This is a tough time with COVID plus this, and I would hope that as fellow Twins fans we can all cut each other a lot more slack.
  20. That's clever, but my point was that people who don't want to see politics on TD can easily click back to baseball. That seems a far cry from telling people to move to a different country. In the old days the phrase was "love it or leave it." If you don't like the Vietnam War then move elsewhere. It turned out that the Vietnam war was a big fraud and senseless waste of lives and dollars. My response to love it or leave it has always been that I want to talk about our country's flaws so that we can address them. I love our country, but serious flaws can't be fixed without admitting that we have serious flaws. Again, my message to Mr. Fellows was that if you don't like "hockey" then keep in mind that the vast majority of our threads deal with Twins baseball, and we do it well because our community is, in general, respectful of opposing views. I was soliciting Mr. Fellows to STAY not leave.
  21. You are a good writer. But this differs from your restaurant analogy. Here, there was a sign in the window of the restaurant that you must have read before you came in. And you were a click away from a different restaurant (thread or website). I get your point about not coming to TD for political discussion. I go to ESPN for baseball, not hockey. If I accidentally end up with hockey then I click on baseball. Bottom line -- TD is the best place to discuss Twins baseball. Our community has made this so, and that includes the moderators and hundreds of members. So please just treat political threads like I treat hockey -- not something to care about and something that can be clicked away easily.
  22. I am not going to express any opinion about the article or Kepler. I believe that worthwhile arguments have been made on opposing sides of this. Instead, I would like to offer a suggestion that might unify many of us -- I believe that it would be a great thing if the Twins and all other Minnesota sports teams decided to wear patches on their uniforms with the logo "GF" or some other logo that evidences a commitment to justice and positive change. This would be a small response to a huge problem, and there are much larger solutions that will have more impact. But I like the idea of sports teams unifying on the issue of racial injustice, and the patches would remind fans of a problem that have been ignored by too many people for too long. Would it not be beyond cool for the Twins to win the World Series wearing those patches?
  23. It still seems to me that there is fertile middle ground that should be explored. My understanding is that revenue sharing could be good for the players in a normal year, and that both sides will benefit from keeping the sport going. I think that the owners should open their books and financial projections to the players and the parties should seek a long-term deal that allows the players to benefit from revenue sharing once things turn around. The players would take more of the hit from COVID than merely pro-rating salaries, but would get more than before after COVID is over.
