    I think we need to put the white surrender flags away and see what this team can do with its full line-up that includes Buxton, Sano, and Santana. I'm looking forward to enjoying the rest of the season, playoffs or not.

    Very well written and thought out article. The top of my priority list for contract extensions is Eduardo Escobar, I'm picturing him as our starting 3B in 2019 with Miguel Sano switching to 1B with Joe Mauer either retiring or not being offered a contract. I agree on giving Mitch Garver more time behind the plate to work on his defensive, Bobby Wilson .115 BA is too painful to watch try ti hit, and let Astudillo share some reps behind the plate and see what he's got. With the return of Buxton and Sano imminent, and the improvement in Jake Cave, we may be seeing the end of the Robbie Grossman era in Minnesota as we know it. Lynn and Duke will be on the move for sure but I can't see much other than that. I'm very curious (and optimistic) to see what the Twins line-up does once the reset button is hit with Buxton and Sano in it.

    We can't afford to trade good starting pitching, so I say Kyle Gibson is a keeper right along with Eduardo Escobar, who I pencil in as starting at 3B next year with Miguel Sano starting at 1B,

    That was uh...interesting, although I used to draw mustaches and beards on some players too. Now I just use this surplus of cards as bookmarks in my 3rd grade classroom.

    "We are family"...one of my favorite World Series teams and I was always a big Willie Stargell fan. Still a lot of season left for our Minnesota Twins, but the ship had better get righted soon if they want to play baseball after September 30.

    Great story and some good Denny Hocking memories. If you haven't checked out Iowa's minor league parks, I highly recommend them; good baseball road trip.

    I first heard about Eddie Rosario when I read an article about him edging then top prospect Miguel Sano for the HR lead in Elizabethton in 2011 by a margin of 21 to 20. I'm thinking to myself who is this Rosario guy? Saw him the next year with the Beloit Snappers (got my first auto from him) who also had Miguel Sano and Kennys Vargas in the line-up. He continued to progress and impress, then came his 50 game suspension in 2014, which only seemed to motivate him even more as he made his MLB debut in 2015. Love love LOVE the way he plays the game, even though it can be maddening at times.

    Last night I felt like I was watching a baseball version of Groudhog Day.

    The only position player I can see getting considered at this point is Eddie Rosario, even though the AL outfield is loaded. He leads the team in runs, hits, AVG, HRs, and SBs. Yeah I know he should take more walks and his decision making at times can drive you crazy, but the stats are there.

    The Twins still like him, he's only 23, and we acquired him for only John Ryan Murphy. I would like to see him given more time to see if his stuff can eventually translate over to the bigs.

    Saw Ben help turn a 1-2-3 bases loaded double-play late in a one-run game which resulted in a Kernels victory last year. Made it look very easy. Hope to see him in person again this year.
