If you want to complain about TD, and the types of stories being presented, please do ... but do it here: http://twinsdaily.com/forum/13-questions-about-minncentric/ Or contact one of the owners. But please be respectful to the contributing writers and comment on what they have taken time to present.

You can’t change the channel and turn off the TV? You are living a nightmare!

Huh. If true, I think he got what he wanted, which wasn’t the Twins.
  4. Squirrel
Yeah, I think all this is to get Atlanta to up their offer.
  5. Squirrel
And what if no one offers him that?

NOTICE: TwinsDaily is experiencing a few technical difficulties. If you are having difficulties posting, starting threads, PMing other users, please be patient. Also, access to the front page also seems to be down. Brock is aware of the issues. In the meantime, keep posting in the forums ... you can do so on a regular computer, or try switching to full version mode on your phone. If you notice any other issues, please leave a comment here. Otherwise, please be patient; I'm sure things will all be back to normal soon. Thanks.

No, I wasn’t trying to be provocative at all. I was saying if they do open their checkbooks for Donaldson, I think it shows there is a willingness to spend. And if there is a willingness to spend, then perhaps there could be some truth to Wheeler and Bumgarner not wanting to come here for other reasons. But the point of my post was that it doesn’t matter, we are still where we always are ... without the pitching I think we need.
  14. Squirrel
Point taken. I removed my initial warning

I’m not convinced 3rd base is the problem, either, although the defense at 3rd does improve, and having both Sano and Donaldson in the lineup makes it even better. Better yet would be to get a SS with better defense and arm, and move Polanco to 2nd base and maybe use Arraez in a trade for pitching, but that’s a completely different discussion.
  16. Squirrel
Yep, that was reported in a separate thread. So, if we do get him, will it be begrudgingly? That’s a great addition to the clubhouse. /s

If they do open the checkbook and sign Donaldson, wouldn’t that just give some credence to the stories that pitchers signed elsewhere because they wanted to be elsewhere? Something we can never know for sure. But ... that still leaves us where we always are, as I said in my post above ... still in need of pitching that has a chance of getting it done.

Where are we now? About where we always are ... in need of pitching and hoping a couple of the young ones step up. Albeit, I think some of the young ones are a bit more hopeful than in the past, but ... here we are. Where we pretty much always are.

    Yuck. And BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Please keep this to the topic of the Yankees and the Ellsbury contract situation. If you want to have a broader discussion about players and long-term contracts and the effects on a team, that would be an interesting topic for someone to write up and start their own thread discussion. Any news on where the Ellsbury situation is currently?

I think it might be best if everyone emailed their lists to Musk ... Musk, make sure you inbox has space

Rosario’s first at bat, first pitch, ever in the majors ... home run. And then seeing his family’s reaction. But the Mauer one ... that still makes me teary. The game against Detroit where we came back in the 9th from a ... was it a 6-run deficit I think? ... that was awesome, Dozier was awesome.
  23. Squirrel
So sorry for your loss ... that was a lovely tribute.

Ah, so you were commenting on the title and not the body of the article. I don’t know, honestly. A whole season of Sano could prove interesting. So could a season with Kep healthy. Those would be my players to watch make enough headway and differences in the season upcoming to garner mvp attention.
