  1. you're asking us? lol ... I'm sure some armchair here will be happy to ...
  2. Considering the type of injury, I wouldn't rush it and then actually have a tear and be out for a long time like Luis Roberts
  3. If they can be held to that, it's not bad ... 3 runs shouldn't be insurmountable ... but then ...
  4. Watch the Twins (try to) play the Yankees, or watch endless reruns of Storage Wars? Hmmm ... that's a tough one ...

  5. Here's the quote: 'Still, Rivera argued, he should not have walked Thome. That disappointed Rivera more than Kubel's homer. "I didn't do my job," Rivera said. "To me, walking in the run (was worse). You've got control of that. Home run - anything can happen. But walking in the run is unacceptable. You can't go in there and do that."'
  6. I actually remember an interview he gave after that. He said he made a good pitch and Kubel got it ... he didn't regret it. He said that will happen. But he did regret the walks he gave up prior to that (were there 2 in that inning?). He said that those are what he regretted.
  7. This is a great post to bring us all back to the reality of how things were and are. It’s easy to hindsight it, so thanks for the actual research. I do wish we had made an offer to Trevor May, though. He’s the only one I think it made sense to keep and is the only one I question letting walk.
  8. All of this. This is what’s going on and a I like the idea of a 3rd party monitoring. But MLB won’t do this or will over too long of a time, kicking and screaming, á la ped usage
  9. yikes ... and ouch ... and hope he is better soon!
  10. Cut them all off then if it means horrible legislation stays off the books
  11. @DocBauer, if that was your paraphrase, what did the non-paraphrased version look like? ??
  12. lol ... you should go to 'Members' and see who the leaders are ... and Australian Biker dudes are so hot, I mean, their accents! Whoooo!
  13. I live in Chicago ... Bartman is the sole reason the Cubs lost in 2008, so ... yeah, but now we are digressing.
  14. No, one player's gaffe ... the result then is all on him. Nope. It was Buckner's fault, his boo boo, all his to bear. (/s)
  15. We should? I think that's a huge assumption and generalization to make from one play. I mean, your statement could be true, but that play alone wouldn't bring me to that conclusion. I think it's what it is ... a huge lapse. And Buckner, if he were still alive, would probably say, 'Oh, thank God ... maybe now people will forget my boo boo.' Although, Buckner's 'boo boo' cost his team the championship.
  16. That's easy ... the pitchers cheating
  17. Oh, so that was *your* fault, eh?
  18. It was so windy in Chicago today, that a big tree limb, from a healthy tree, broke right off and tore all the way down the trunk of the tree and fell onto Lake Shore Drive onto cars
