  1. If you want to have a specific discussion, start a thread. There is also the covid thread in the other forum in this club
  2. Also, as an open club, anyone can join. And any one of us can also invite people to join. It's not a closed club where it requires an invitation to join or you have to ask for permission to join, but you do have to physically join and agree to 'rules'. For now we just put some fast and easy rules together, we may refine those going on, or remove them going on ... mostly want to test the waters with allowing politics again
  3. What is your current status? Let us know!

  4. For now ... they are kind of buried in the menu ... the hamburger menu in the upper right, then browse content, then clubs. Once there, click on the club you want (right now it's only the one club), that takes you to the club overview page, where you will see most recent activity. But the black bar menu at the top ... 'Overview', 'Politics and Human Rights, 'Non-political world events/crises' ... those are the forums ... Overview, I already said, the other two, click on one of those, and start a discussion thread or join one already in progress. Right now there is only one discussion thread in each forum ... because, well ... we're new and people haven't started them up yet. In time, if this goes well, we can move discussion topics over ... I did that for the other forum here ... you may recognize the Coronavirus thread from the Sports Bar
  5. Touch the red dot or star to the left of the thread, whether on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop
  6. Well ... not just that ... the red scroll button is available wherever you are, but if you are at the bottom of a topic you have all the options available ... 'Go to topic listing' takes you back to that forum; or click on one of the things in the gray ... takes you to back as far as you want to go, without having to scroll up at all.
  7. Squirrel ... I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore! We must be over the rainbow!

  8. one of our many tools ... in 3 clicks, 2 posts are merged
  9. Boy ... even the ads are in on the Twins this year ...
  10. And the rest of us from listening to the both of you ...
  11. C'mon, Shoemaker! Pitch like your career depends on it ... because I think it does
  12. yeah ... maybe next year I'll just purchase the audio package and be done with it ...
  13. Honestly, I don't even watch every game ... but I like having it on when I'm doing other things ... it's rare I actually sit through an entire game because I can't sit ... but it shouldn't be that difficult ... in the end, the xfinity people think I do have a technical problem that requires a technician, so ... eh
  14. And before y'all say ... be a cable cutter ... it's part of my assessments ... I pay for it regardless ... ugh ... now I have a headache ... so not worth it the way the Twins have been playing 'It's just a game ... it's just a game ... it's just a game ... it's just a game ... there's no place like home ...' Oh, er ... okay ... back to baseball
  15. That worked ... I was trying to go through mlb.tv as that's how i'd done it in past years ... I did call MLB. tv customer service ... they had a menu specifically to Extra Innings ... they couldn't figure it out ... called xfinity customer service, and they don't get it, either ... especially since I can get it on my computer, I should get it on my tv ... so ... they think I have a signal leak ... whatever taht means ... ugh ... you know ... technology is a lot like men ... can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
  16. No ... you can't do that anymore. I used to be able to watch online, when I was away from home, they would connect my accounts, but they don't do that anymore, because, you know ... MLB wants to kill the sport by killing off fan interest by making it the most difficult it can to watch the games. I paid for a package that has never done this before. It's ridiculous ... this is the 2nd game in a week they've black out 'Local restrictions' ... and I'm in Chicago
  17. I have the extra innings package through xfinity, how would mlb be able to fix that?
  18. And ... the game is blacked out for me, again ... in Chicago. This is ridiculous.
  19. I think the FO should get more than half the blame. For one, the bp. For two, I think they've massively over-estimated or completely missed in evaluating abilities of some of the players. Yeah, some players are just not performing and I have to wonder if that's just who they are at this point (Kepler, Polanco and Sano). And those are the three that the FO has put some faith in with healthy contracts. So ... yeah ... the FO gets the majority of the blame here. And I'd say 60% or more of it.
  20. Yes. You will now be able to type incorrectly again!
  21. No, we're not talking about different things. I think the FO said 'Shoemaker will be a starter, Dobnak relief'. Rocco might have input into that, but I don't think it's Rocco alone who says 'Nope, not making Shoemaker a starter.' The lines between these decisions is not an absolute line. As I said, I'm sure Rocco had input, but ultimately, I think the FO directs the decisions in certain situations. Rocco may have had a recent conversation with the FO to say ... this isn't working, I want Dobnak starting ... hence the decision to send him to AAA to get stretched.
  22. In this case, no, I don't think he did. Honestly ... this decision on Shoemaker was the FO and Rocco played the hand he was given. But ... I think Dobnak back to AAA signals that Shoemaker may be on his way out. Dobnak will get stretched out to start. And ... I don't think sending him to AAA was Rocco's decision, either. I'm sure he was made aware and maybe asked for his opinion, but these are FO moves, imo.
