    Is now not a good time to trade Polanco? Logjam? You're going to be hurt if we trade or DFA Kepler or Gallo? If Buxton wants to start fresh somewhere else and a team is willing to take a risk, you say no? I am not saying all of these happen in the next few days. But it seems like a prime time to reshape the current roster to make an improvement or 2. You would rather keep Correa than have Lee/Lewis at SS? There are moves that need to be made if we want to do anything in playoffs. I am not satisfied getting there and getting our butts kicked.

    Is this a roster that will make a push in the post season? If we get there... We also have a roster crunch at multiple positions. We have prospect capital. In regards to making a big splash...if not now, when?

    Keep Gray for this year. He turns into 1st rd pick. Trade any of Buxton (yes. I am aware he has a no trade clause), Polanco, Kepler, Gallo, Larnach, Kirillof or Maeda. Trade Correa in off season.

    I really like Brady Singer. He would cost a good amount...but wondering if Royals would trade him for prospects. We have many. Our rotation would pretty much be set for a while.

    Good questions. Here's my take: $15 mil a year is a reasonable contract to risk for Buxton's upside. Couple that with change of scenery...Yada Yada Yada. St. Louis might want out of one of their contracts for a (semi?) rebuild. SD might have a good idea if they want to offer huge money to Soto, or if Soto is more interested elsewhere. Buxton might be a good insurance plan. Same with Cubs...they may risk Buxton if they know they are not signing Bellinger long term. Going to be a very interesting next couple of weeks!

    Trade Buxton to wherever he wants to go. There will be interest from other clubs...SD for Hader? Chi for Bellinger? St Louis for Goldy or Arenado?

    Wouldn't be opposed to signing any of these guys. Also wouldn't mind buying a lottery ticket or 2...Giles, Alex Reyes, converting Wacha, etc.

    I just want to see Royce, Kirilloff, and Larnach stay healthy and have a little success, and Miranda and Gordon repeat theirs. Not ready for these new guys yet! ...unless we trade Polanco.

    I actually wouldn't mind Gallo in the leadoff spot...for reasons mentioned in the article, and for the fact that pitchers aren't as sharp 1st inning and tend to throw more strikes. He would probably end up with at least 10 leadoff HRs. That being said, Rocco can pull names out of a hat for 1-5 each game and it wouldn't make much of a difference.
