  1. Not to mention he never seems to be a 'real' cluthch hitter that changes the game in the 8th or 9th inning when he has a chance to tie the game, give te Twins the lead, or win the game. I remember at least 3 or 4 of these situations this year and ol' Joe is a big fat o-fer. He might have a decent average with risp, yet when the game hangs in the balance you just know Joe is going to hit a weak tapper.
  2. How many pitchers have the same or more road wins as the Twins?
  3. Pick a young arm or two and start finding your next closer. Jepsen and Perk are not the answer, short term or long term.
  4. How do Jepsen, FO, and Molly not get an F? Dozier deserves a D minus. You were too lenient on an individual level to Fien, Ervin Santana, Hughes, and Sano. Total system failure. This season is a train wreck on top of a car crash.
  5. His defense at first base has been both impressive and surprising.
  6. 81 degrees in the Twin Cities and a last place ball club means no game watching on a Friday night.
  7. He wouldn't be the first 'can't miss' prospect to miss.
  8. We brought back Gardy... Gardy - he of the bazillion years in a row of 90+ losses. And brought him back just a little over one season after the most recent 90+ loss season. That's the mentality of this front office.
  9. Replay sucks and is an abomination. Disgrace to the integrity of the game. Another step toward making real life more like a video game. Why not just play out the season on a computer generated model and be done with it?
  10. You could stay at the MOA and take the train to the game.
  11. It should be called a Jepskins.
  12. Have patience young Skywalker. This too will pass and this young talent will provide many years of competitive, possibly playoff, baseball.
  13. Fingers crossed that this is a joke.
  14. The plan is the current youth movement which has turned into this 0-9 disaster. If we bail now and start plugging in veterans that are slightly better today we are again mortgaging the future. It was just a few years ago when we were begging for Buxton and Sano to be here so let's be patient and see how it plays out. Keep playing the young guys and call up some young pitchers. It is just so bad right because almost all the guys are struggling at the same time.
  15. We might as well keep Buxton here and let him get some seasoning and learn the tough lessons sooner than later while it isn't harming anything. He needs the experience and to get through the growing pains eventually, why not now?
  16. Jamie Quirk, right? The Rat Gary Gaetti saying you can't throw the ball to first with your hands around your neck.
  17. I threw dirt on their grave a year ago and that was an inferior team (on paper anyway). Let's give the season time to no play out and just enjoy that baseball is back.
  18. Sano's strikeouts and lack of contact is concerning. The possibility of him setting the single season strikeouts record seems valid.
  19. Season opener 2.0 tonight - let's forget that weird opener on Monday and get the season kicked off the right way.
  20. On the Rickard carch: If he catches it and the odds of winning increase by .2 percent then it's clear it was the right choice, not a wash. Two outs and a better chance of winning is clearly better than one out and a smaller chance.
  21. Joe Mauer needs a bounce back season in 2016 or he should definitely be considered a bust.
  22. Here's to the next MVP coming from Twins Territory.. it's just that's a lot of strikeouts, man.
  23. As much fun as it is to rip ol' Joe, I would still leave him in there. Still, remembering that he lost a foot race to first base against CC Sabathia.
  24. It is disappointing that Dozier didn't own up to his poor second halves and hopefully his delusional remarks are some type of motivator.
  25. Morneau to the Saints... genius maneuvering. We need to alert someone in Lowertown of this idea. Would love to see that. Justin could stay at the Mauer estate and if Park flops he is already in town. Brilliant!
