  1. Okay, now it makes sense. I cannot imagine a life without live baseball. I hope you make it back to the USA to watch more baseball soon. Minnesota is beautiful (when and if) summer ever arrives.
  2. You've still only attended one baseball game to this day?
  3. Too many strikeouts, poor defense, and not bringing anything "extra" to the table means this is not surprising. It is enlightening though and maybe another brick in the house being built that is the Twins without Sano.
  4. I am leery of the May return date. This is feeling like a Ervin Santana 2018 injury type of return that drags on past the expected return.
  5. The Francisco Liriano answer is spot on. Other possibilities are John Castino and Jim Eisenreich. Lyman Bostock and his death were a tragedy. Although he was technically a member of the Angels at the time, it sure was a loss for the Twins and all MLB.
  6. It seems to really sting as a Twins fan to look back like this since Sano and Buxton are teetering between bust status or fulfilling their potential.

    What gives?

    What other site?
  8. Dang, pass the purple Kool-aid. If you are correct (and I sure hope you are) then it's going to be a fun season at Target Field. Man, it would be fun to get some atmosphere back at the ballpark.
  9. Thanks for this, he sounds like a good kid with his head on straight. That is not surprising as Eddie always comes across as a good guy. Although, numerous times throughout I kept reading Niko Goodrum in my mind.
  10. These projections are nice to pass the time during a brutal February winter. However, there is a reason they still play the games so let's get playing some baseball already.
  11. If he doesn't come north with the club, I will picket Falvine's offices.
  12. Hawt take: Schoop has a bounceback season and posts numbers similar to his 2017 season. 30 HRs, 100 RBI, OPS north of .800.
  13. Surprised by the violent ending. I still blame Bruno to this day for any Twins hitting woes when they are in the middle of a team slump.
  14. Fire Bremer. Super excited to get Kaat back after all these years. How many games is Kaat doing? Do we know how many games each of the analysts are doing? The FSN link didn't say. I do know Bert's number of games was reduced even further for 2019.
  15. From a fan perspective, we have been waiting for the better part of a decade to be relevant. From an analytical perspective, if you truly think the Twins will win the Central in 2019, why wait? People that advocate your strategy of wait and see what happens in 2019 sound like they are on the Pohlad payroll. Well, I hope you are right and Twins fans get to hang a banner or two in 3-5 years. That's a tough sell to the casual Twins fan, though. The people in my life that are casual Twins fans have zero interest in this club right now. No buzz.
  16. Astudillo deserves a roster spot. If he performs well in spring training and still doesn't come north with the club then I am picketing.
  17. The Vikings have travelled better the last 10 years or so. Face it though, this is a town of front runners -always has been and always will be. Heck, I get harassed by fellow Minnesotans in town (people that are both citizens and fans) when the Twins/Vikings struggle and I wear their colors. If one of our clubs is winning then look out - there are bandwagon fans everywhere. Otherwise, only the core fans are there and the support from the casual fans in this town is lukewarm unless you win.
  18. "He could also use some refinement in the field." I did find this sentence a bit surprising. It seems curious to me that Baddoo isn't a strong fielder. I assume the range is more than adequate. What does he need to improve in the field? Also, did Baddoo grow up playing baseball or was it a Kepler type situation where he has some catching up to do time wise simply being on a baseball field?
  19. Yeah well... the Twins did beat the Cardinals in the 1987 World Series.
