  1. You sold me on dealing Rosario and Gordon.
  2. So, are you saying that Jose Berrios is the top Twins starting pitcher?
  3. The Twins need most of these guys to fulfill their potential. The most intriguing to me is Kepler and whether he can progress beyond slightly above average status.
  4. What a weird middle ground this franchise is stuck in. Drats. Here's hoping Falvine signs some FAs this winter that make a lasting impression and give some productivity.
  5. They were all joyous and a good reminder of how much fun a baseball season really is - even a season as miserable as 2018 for the Twins. My favorite was Dozier's, closely followed by Astudillo.
  6. This. Hurts... Badly, it hurts. I am not ready to punt on Buxton-Sano. They need at least two more years. There is no other future at third base and Buxton's defense is enough alone to play him every day.
  7. His track record is that he puts the ball in play. He may not hit the high water marks from 2018. However, he has earned a chance at regular ABs in 2019 to prove he can keep up the production long term.
  8. The positive spin is a refreshing change. I agree they need to keep building through the end of the season.
  9. Win = more noise. Minnesota fans are notorious bandwagon jumpers.
  10. It will be interesting to see if he makes the Hall of Fame. I think he deserves it, although is hurt not getting that Gold Glove in 2017 and by the 0-10 playoff showing. Fortunately, it seems the national media is kinder to Joe than some of the local negativity. Here is my case for Joe as a Hall of Famer. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/joe-mauer-and-the-rule-of-2000/ https://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/jaws_C.shtml https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.twinkietown.com/platform/amp/2018/2/22/17031568/joe-mauer-has-earned-every-penny-contract-2018-minnesota-twins-mlb-offseason-owners-collusion
  11. The little stud might is building quite a case to get a serious look next spring and to receive a legitimate chance to make the club.
  12. This game stunk. This Twins stink. This season sucks.I consider myself an optimist so the positive I can find is to wish congratulations to DADdison Reed.
  13. Yeah, it's an old school statistic. However, Sano is now below the Mendoza Line after last night's 0 for 4 with a .199 batting average.
  14. Why not just take the gas pipe and let the guy complete the perfect game? I was there and by the late innings was pulling for the perfect game to happen. Why the heck not? Major letdown. What were you thinking Grossman? At least let us see a no hitter if the chance at perfection is gone.
  15. It's still too soon to abandon ship on the Buxton/Sano being cornerstones plan. There is time for this thing to pan out.
  16. Maybe the honeymoon with Falvine is over? I wonder the reaction if Terry Ryan made the same moves? While I am willing to wait a bit longer before criticizing Falvine, I have to wonder at what point they are no longer immune to criticism? Hopefully in 2021-2022 and beyond we have some deep playoff runs or even a World Series trophy and we can happily on 2018. Falvine still has to prove they have what it takes.
  17. If we could get rid of Bremer, I would be a happy man. Part-time color guys in order of likeability are Hawkins, Morneau, and Hunter and I think Hawkins is terrible. They all sound unprofessional a majority of the time. It makes you appreciate a true professional broadcaster and how much talent and time it takes to sound polished in the booth. I will admit that Hawkins, Morneau, and Hunter all have potential and each have likeable aspects to them.
  18. Why Jimenez pitching, just why? With the September call ups there were plenty of other arms available. That was a pig show throwing Jimenez out there.
  19. Shining the spotlight on Berrios and his recent back slide got me thinking about other highlights of our Twins 2018 season. Eddie Rosario has cooled off as of late. Gibson, Forsythe, Cave, and Austin are (somewhat) bright lights that have not exactly set the world on fire. When does spring training 2019 begin?
  20. He needs playing time and ABs at the big league level. Now.Buxton has thrived when he's healthy and comfortable and confident.
