    Again, this teams reminds me of 2018 Twins and not the Bomba Squad. Let's find the bats in Cleveland and take at least two there. Then, get fat and beat up the AL Central bottom feeders for the final dozen games and hit the playoffs as the Bomba Squad again. Oh yeah, get healthy too. Realistically, there is a good chance Clevaland sweeps the Twins. I don't understand the Fangraphs odds to win division/make playoffs of 93.8%/98.9% for the Twins. The way this club is trending I would chop those percentages in half.

    This looked like a September 2018 Twins lineup, not a September 2019 team in the middle of a pennant race.

    Your scenario isn't completely crazy. That's why Thursday night against the Nats (if they play) is almost a must win for our Twins. If they can win Thursday, then just take 1 of 3 in Cleveland then the division lead is 3 games after the Cleveland set. They can't really miss the playoffs entirely, right? If they did, I might go into crisis mode and consider if it's worth the time and effort invested in the Twins. Even a wild card loss would bring those same thoughts.

    Where do you live, Afghanistan? That must be awful not to be able to talk Twins. Don't stress too much about Twins victories this week. If they win 1 of the next 2 against the Nats, then just 1 of 3 at Cleveland they will have a minimum 3 game lead after the Cleveland series. It's starting to get to the point where the small number of games left really works to the Twins' advantage.

    Maybe. There is a reason why they play the games. Another Gardy era style sweep out of the LDS is not acceptable. Moral victories should be something not considered. The Twins took the season series from the Astros.

    How about a deep postseason run to validate the regular season? Meaning at least participating in a long ALCS of at least six games or doing better than that. Losing in the ALDS or the wild card round would feel like failure on many levels. It just would and talking about the future to long suffering Twins/Minnesota men's professional teams is foolhardy. These recent developments are cause for concern.

    Stop it, Jinxie. "If Cleveland were able to sweep Los Angeles and Minnesota lost three to Washington, the division lead could be down to 2.5 games entering next weekend." Although this is not an unlikely scenario. Possibly the most likely with the mounting Twins injuries and Pineda debacle. Still, don't say it out loud.

    If the Twins take one of three I will breathe easier. This shapes up as a "moral victory" type of series if they can win one and stay close in the others.

    Yeah, I remember bringing a radio into the Dome when I had Vikings season tickets to stay up to date on the Twins score or whatever and not have to wait for them to put it on the scoreboard. There's just so many modern and other ways to get the information now 20+ years later. If he really needs to hear Gladden and Provous while at the park, wear headphones as it would personally annoy me. Maybe as I creep closer to 50 I am showing more grumpy old man tendencies.

That being said, didn't see radios as one of the banned items listed on the website or the FAQs in the Ballpark app. My question is why not just download an app on your phone so you don't have to worry about it. Also, why do you want to listen to the game on radio. There is plenty happening at the ballpark to keep you engaged. I hope you mean you will listen through headphones. If some person was playing the radio broadcast out loud at Target Field, I would be utterly annoyed and ask them to turn it off. Why not just follow on your phone at mlb.com/scores?

    Maybe when/if Duffey gets more high leverage opportunities (and produces positive results) then he will get more recognition. Your friend bashing on Duffey probably remembers a high leverage or two breakdown from Duffey and not much else.

    The homestand where the Twins were going to make hay while the sun was shining has taken off to a 1-3 thud. When do they push the panic button on Berrios and make some tweaks?

    It was a boring game to attend. Watching the other team's pitcher dominate is not fun in my book. I know we are supposed to be good baseball fans and carry on about how great pitching is more entertaining than good hitting. Maybe so and 1-0 pitcher's duel can be entertaining - that I agree with. Getting your doors blown off with no exciting plays is a drag. Oh well, a day at the ballpark is still better than being at the office.

    It sure is nice to see that green line on the leverage index moving toward the Twins side. It seems like every recap in recent memory trended the opposite direction.

    Injury not yet healed as many have mentioned. Fewer have mentioned effort and attitude. I love Eddie and his confidence bordering on arrogance. However, I do not approve of the unsound fundamentals in the outfield. Maybe it's because I was in the left field bleachers for the drop against the Mets and booed Eddie that day.

    After the day off yesterday, it's just nice to not have to read about the trade deadline and get some substance about on the field matters.

    Right. The other guys practice and get paychecks, too. If this was a 5 or 7 game playoff series against the A's and the Twins had home field advantage, the Twins would be in the captain's chair.

    Liam Hendriks unhittable and hitting 100 on the radar gun?! Now, Cleveland has cut the Twins division lead to 3 games. I guess scenarios like this make the game fun. These two really sting right now, though.
