    Since 2012, all of our drafts look solid with 2015 maybe an exception. You may recall our 2nd pick came up with problems on his physical and didn't sign. We also gave up a high pick to sign Santana. Year in and year out we have been one of the highest rated teams in IFA. Our scouting is amongst the best baseball, on a consistent basis. No one is stubborn and no one is gutless. Do the research.

    Any way you could share specific examples with the board? If a rookie starting pitcher has a bad game, I don't see any need to overgeneralize.

    We could get solid returns for both Lynn and Odorizzi at the deadline.

    Still have time, but need to at least split the next 4 games. Easy to see how important Mauer is to our offense. Buxton has missed a ton of time, Sano has missed some, and it's hard to know how much we miss Polanco's bat. It's not over yet.

    In 2016 TR prematurely gambled our young stars were ready to shine. There was no plan B, much less a plan C. The new regime will not risk another 2016. Carter is plan C, as was the signing of Anibal Sanchez during ST. Nothing more.

    Did you know last year at this time, we were the second youngest team in all of baseball based on weighted playing time? I read it on this very board. Don't worry about all these other teams. If you want to waste the time doing all the research, you'll find out it's not true. Just say no to myths!

    Unlikely both Escobar and Dozier are Twins next season. Do you extend/sign one and trade the other? The trade deadline could be wild this year.

    They have played in 20 one run games, and 9 more two run games. On any given day.

    If he proves healthy, we have a fair chance of moving him at the deadline. If we want a solid return at the deadline, we move Lynn.

    Our favorite team is not going to move heaven and earth to get board favorite May to Target Field. I would use the final option in an attempt to showcase him. I look for him to be dealt, no later than this winter, for a low level starting pitching prospect.

    If you add board favorites Alex Meyer's and Trevor May's victories together, and multiple them times 10, you have Lance Lynn. Note, Whatsamatta Yu and Cobb are off to slow starts also.

    Fourth outfielders w/o power are a dime a dozen. I've read several times, they feel he may develop power. Let him develop it if he can at AA. Grossman is a board scapegoat, but will continue to give us solid years, until he inevitable gets beat out in ST at some point in time. He's no worse than most fourth outfielders and has never been the reason we weren't winning.

    Last I heard approximately 80% were able to come back from TJ. Melotakis IMHO is an example of one who couldn't.

    The 2017 draft was an aberration. If I'm not mistaken, only once before has a team with the 1-1 pick made the play-offs. Also, we haven't received anywhere near the credit we deserve for our performance in IFA for quite some time. This franchise could not possibly be more healthy. We may not be a contender forever, but it's sure going to seem like it to the rest of the Central.

    They were already young enough, why would they want to get younger? The object is to win games right? Do you have any idea, how many teams are in some form of rebuild? If you want to do the rebuid thing some more, feel free. I'm getting ready for the play-offs the next bunch of years.

    He's not the only proven vet who missed a lot of ST having problems. At worst, we can get an arm and a leg for him at the trade deadline.

    This is silly. The handling of one player doesn't determine if a team is rebuilding or not. Romero still has to go thru the trials and tribulations most young starters have to go thru. No need to panic, these things have a way of working themselves out. Depth is a good thing.

    A broken finger in not an elbow or shoulder injury. I expect him back next season. No one ever gets younger, and he's already more than good enough.

    In a recent interview, Gonsalves said his curve ball is the only thing holding him back. He is throwing it 20% of the time. He credited Duke and Gibson with helping him work on it in ST.

    May has pitched all of 45 innings the past 2 years. Prior to having TJ, he was on the DL four times in little over a season. His claim to fame is, his last 3 or 4 starts were his best, before he was replaced in the rotation, when Santana came back from his suspension. I believe he's fighting to save his career.

    Since 2013, only one catcher has played more innings than Castro.
