They need to remove “student” from the equation and change the portal/coaching carousel dates. Let’s be honest, the kids transferring don’t care about getting their degree right now. For 99% of them, NIL money is the most they will make in their lives. I don’t blame them for chasing the money when universities are paying QBs 7-8 figures per year.

Correct. We can restructure several players to open up a bunch of cap space so I’m not worried about that. My main concern is hitting on these draft picks.

It’s not like Darnold is 37 years old like Kirko. He’s 27. Could have had Darnold for 5-10 years building a Super Bowl contender

Kirko has been looking good to finish the season. It’s not a given that Atlanta lets him go with Penix tearing his ACL

This is the coping mechanism I read over and over again. Why is that the right thing? This season has proven it was not the right thing. We used the savings on 2 DTs that weren’t any better than what we had on roster. Darnold is in a position to once again finish a 1 seed in the final week of the season. Top 5 in passing yards and passing TDs. McCarthy can’t even stay on the field…

This opens up the question… what’s the total # of QBs who could legit win a Super Bowl? I’d say maybe 5 or 6 in the whole league. An all-time defense could carry anyone to the trophy as Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson can attest. I’m talking about if there was a Madden fantasy draft and you’re picking your team from scratch.
