  1. This version of Ober isn’t worth $6-7 million next year. His rapid decline is surprising
  2. 6 out of 8 games now where it looks over after the 2nd inning. This organization is straight up toxic.
  3. If he can’t find that lost 3-4 MPH he’s gonna be a non-tender candidate in the winter. 89 MPH ain’t gonna cut it in MLB.
  4. 7 (!!) UDFAs made the initial roster.
  5. We’re obviously not heading into week 1 with 4 CBs and a WR room looking like that. More work to be done over the next couple of days. I’ll guess 2 CBs and maybe 2 WRs added
  6. Big Dumper hits his 50th HR on August 25th
  7. 5 out of the last 7 games when the outcome is decided in 3 innings or less. Just awful starting pitching which includes the last 2 Joe Ryan experiences.
  8. 2024 draft class early returns are also bad except Will the Thrill at kicker. The only thing that matters is nailing the JJ McCarthy pick. If Kwesi didn’t do that, plus Turner being a rotational at best guy right now, he’s gotta give up drafting to anyone else.
  9. The fair point is none of us know anything yet. The early returns on the MLB ready players is not good but there’s a runway to figure things out.
  10. 2 of those legit prospects are catchers 19 years old or younger which is literally the riskiest player to acquire in a trade. Remember Diego Cartaya? Former top 20 prospect in the game that was unplayable in AAA this year as a 23 year old?
  11. I’ll allow it. Best friends back on the table
  12. No mint chocolate chip? Maybe we aren’t best friends after all
  13. When you’re hot, you don’t question the method. I was just at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, MN for vacation. We were playing bingo at the pool and they called 3 straight numbers on my bingo card. It didn’t matter that my hat was on backwards. That was my thing now until the numbers changed. My mom ended up getting a bingo because she’s lucky with games like that. My backwards hat made a difference in her winning $50 I’m fully convinced of that!

  15. Perhaps. It could also be the human element with Joe preferring to pitch to Vazquez
  16. You and I just looked it up at the same time
  17. Okay I just looked this up to settle the debate. In Joe Ryan starts, it was 16 starts by Vazquez, 6 starts by Jeffers before Vazquez was injured. Interesting it was tied 6-6 and then Vazquez played the last 10 starts by Joe.
  18. Plenty of role players have gotten paid way more than their real value because they were on a championship team for sure.
  19. I’m about 90% certain Vazquez caught almost every one of his starts the first half of the season. But too lazy to look it up.
  20. Absolutely. $100 million sets up generations of future family members. Very few reach that point in their professional careers. Until they reach F You money, they’re taking the most amount of money they can get no matter what that organization’s championship expectations are.
  21. Trevor Plouffe and Trevor May mention this often on their podcasts online. 99% of professional players work to set their family up for life. After that, then winning a championship matters. Money always talks
  22. Stephon Gilmore probably on speed dial if I had to guess
  23. Same but I get it if they think he’s not healthy anymore. He was an old CB prospect (24) when they drafted him. He’s already 26 - same age as Cam Akers who was released again by the Saints and it feels like he’s been in the league forever.
  24. Bizarre. Selling low on a 3rd round pick from 2 years ago. They must be convinced he hasn’t recovered from his injury last season.
