    I was 1 of probably 200,000+ people to attend the MN State Fair yesterday… Here’s what we shared and my rating. Pronto Pup - 10/10 there’s a reason why this is a classic staple at the fair Corn on the cob - 9/10 the line moved efficiently but still took 20+ min Raspberry milkshake from the dairy building - 10/10 Items we shared: Mouth trap cheese curds - 9/10 always great and splitting the small size was perfect Deep fried Ranch dressing - 4/10 I was disappointed in last year’s viral food item. Cheese curds are way better French fries - 7/10 The viral food item this year is the Amish Doughnut and the line looked like it was at least an hour wait.

    Glad to hear it! One less TBD start every 5 games, and we get to watch a pitcher under 25 years old. Progress!

    As they should! Continue the purge until the rotten stench from the last 2 seasons is gone. It wouldn’t surprise me if many of our players set to hit FA after 2026 or 2027 are traded this offseason.

    Yeah, time ran out to get someone else in the door. He will be a solid short yard possession WR for McCarthy early on in the season. Evidently today is Thielen’s 35th bday so I’ve got to imagine this is the final season for him in the NFL.

    Too much steam about Thielen coming back to MN so I’m sure that’ll get finalized soon.

    Another interesting nugget today. Who remembers when Buxton ditched the hitting program pushed on him and did his own thing? Weird, he became an .850 OPS hitter since he defied Twins logic beginning in 2019.

    It will be interesting how they handle team controlled contracts during a potentially lost season. Will they all toll for a season? Guaranteed contracts I assume are guaranteed.

    The way Goff described it from the players’ perspective is the offense feels the pressure to score a ton of runs, and each pitcher feels the pressure to be perfect for their 1-2 innings. Who would have guessed that people like routine and TBD days is anything but routine.

    MLB has no interest in broadcasting team games. It was something they needed to do out of desperation when Bally Sports swirled down the drain. Good for the Pohlads - they’ll get 10x what little revenue they got from Twins.TV subscriptions this year. More money in their pockets!!

    If that’s all it takes is him saying you should hit the ball and they become MVP level players let’s send all 100+ position players to TK’s house for a sit down.

    Wow. What a cool totally made up story in your head. Morneau never played for manager Tom Kelly. He debuted in 2003 at 22 years old when Ron Gardenhire was at the helm.

    I would appreciate that a lot more than what they’re doing right now. Which is playing guys that have no future on this team. We have Keaschall and Lee as the only position players under 25 years old getting regular playing time. The pitchers in today’s game were 33, 35, 35, and 31 years old. They are wasting innings on players who won’t be a solution for the next contending team.

    When Manfred gets his way, it’ll be the same fragmented mess like the NFL. Games on this ESPN thing, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. Apple TV+ is out after this year I think? They have by far the best quality stream in 4K with horrendous commentary.

    Two interesting nuggets I heard on the Skor North Twins podcast today. The players Declan Goff spoke with in the clubhouse also hate TBD days because it puts pressure on everyone to not screw up the game. Also, he mentioned that Joe Pohlad has still not addressed the team since the trade deadline. Which I guess is normal for other owners. However, you would think after a historic sell off of 10 players he would want to show up and give empty platitudes like “We’re behind you guys!”

    You would think getting swept by the A’s is rock bottom. But it can get way worse than this for the remaining games. 95 losses is definitely in reach

    First time being a fan of a Pohlad owned team? There’s no chance the payroll flexibility gained after the sell off will be re-invested in the team. First, the FA class looks especially weak this year. Second, they’re not going to invest in any contracts beyond 2026 with the upcoming CBA negotiation. I expect more of the same. 1 year cheap as you can get contracts. Trading away more players and end up with 90+ losses again.

    MLB will need to decide if division titles matter or not. Divisions only matter in the NFL, specializing in regional 4 team divisions building up long time rivalries. I couldn’t tell you who has won a division in winter sports because they made it irrelevant in playoff seeding. I think the NFL has it correct, and want MLB to follow suit. Make division titles matter and build up regional rivalries. Selfishly I would love a division with the Brewers and the Chicago teams. All that can be visited in a 6 hour or less drive.
