    As we’ve seen for the last 2 years, Falvey doesn’t have to pick a lane, and he probably won’t unless the Twins’ record crashes and burns. We can’t keep letting expiring contract players walk away for nothing. Is Castro willing to sign a new contract? If not, get value for him. If Paddack has no future here, get value for him.

    Why would you want to pay hundreds of dollars to torture yourself for 4 hours? I’m a 12.8 handicap index today and couldn’t break 110 at that course

    No doubt… all injuries are complicated. I didn’t go far in baseball, but I do remember running foul poles as a teenager in most practices. And I do wonder if these days players should be more focused on quick twitch, dead sprints instead of jogging and running miles. Perhaps more of an NFL type of training program focused on all-out effort for short bursts helps out more than endurance training

    Correct. The Twins have been quite fortunate on injury luck so far. I guess we will see if Lopez is shut down for the season but beyond that, we are halfway through June and the Twins have not lost a single player to a season ending injury. You follow the minors a lot closer than me… Have we lost a single top 10-15-20 prospect to a season ending injury?

    For expiring contracts correct. But I’m not sure Falvey will get the value back for players with multiple years left like Duran, Ryan, etc.

    I’m right there with you. The $10 million question is do we want Falvey to make these trades? For all we know he is out when a new owner is announced. I have my doubts… and it appears he has some doubts as well since he hasn’t tried any ground breaking trade in 3 years.

    I agree with that. He didn’t look healthy from day 1 when he was called up from his rehab assignment

    Also, if this is really the truth why would we think this is a playoff team? Every player has value. Just depends if Falvey thinks it’s worth trading them in July or not. And frankly, I’m worried Falvey is still making these decisions. I wouldn’t mind waiting it out until a new owner is announced and he’s gone.

    And that’s if we don’t sell anyone at the deadline. I will be advocating to trade away some of this core in July.

    Look, I didn’t want to be a Debbie Downer during the 12 game winning streak. And as much as I would love that team to be the real version of this team, it’s not. The reality is the Twins are the most middle of the road team we can watch.

    The bigger story is losing Pablo and Ober cratering due to whatever ailment he has going on. Paddack turning back into a 5 ERA pumpkin isn’t surprising at all unfortunately.
