  1. Crowd looked dismal when they did the panoramic view of Ryan running out of the dugout
  2. One reason to go to Target Field is after 2026, the CBA negotiations will be nasty. I will be shocked if 162 games are played in 2027… I think it’s going to turn out like the NHL in 2004. Lost season, with major concessions made by MLBPA once the season is canceled. This sport is going to die anyway if the gap between big budget teams and league average teams keeps growing like it is.
  3. Also to be added is Thad Levine leaving without another job lined up. He wanted off this sinking ship before it tarnished his reputation as a GM.
  4. It feels like Lopez is hinting towards a bigger story behind the scenes. Let’s hope one of our excellent beat reporters stays on top of it. It’s reminding me of the Vikings during the end of the Spielman/Zimmer era. The Wilfs were/are very hands off as an ownership group and allowed 2 long time football professionals run the day to day. Little did they know Spielman and Zimmer hated each other and didn’t talk for over a year. I have felt that there’s something rotten to the core in this organization for several years now. The leadership is getting stale, and we missed an opportunity to see if a new manager can get more out of this past core than Baldelli. Let’s not keep making the same mistake.
  5. You’ve accurately described what happened, but preseason this team was advertised at having a full lineup of league average and slightly better production. Larnach, Miranda, Jeffers, France, Castro being anywhere from 100-115 OPS+. Wallner having star potential 120+ OPS+, with Correa, Buxton, and Lewis billed as the stars who could be 140+ OPS guys.
  6. Huh? This is a bizarre argument. Then we should, to this day, not like the Cruz for Ryan trade. Hindsight, you know.
  7. That path would be great! Be a top 10 payroll every year and most likely you’re making a deep run in the playoffs. Unfortunately we have 20 teams in this league that can’t keep up with these market conditions.
  8. I didn’t count the words you typed here, but it’s approximately 10,000 more words than what’s necessary from a preseason game.
  9. There’s a clear gap between the haves and have nots in this league and it’s growing every year. 2011 was the last year the Twins were top 10 in payroll with $112 million. Highest payroll was the Yankees at $200 million, lowest is KC at $36 million. Today the gap between the Dodgers and Marlins is $274 million.
  10. Both of these guys have at least the 2026 season to prove they’re building blocks before other prospects push for their playing time… We were too quick to anoint Lewis as the face of the franchise after his red hot 2nd half in 2023. His stats the last 2 seasons in the majors reflects his last full season of minor league play. I hope he finds it again, but he wouldn’t be the first or last flash in the pan player for the Twins. Lee doesn’t look like a building block starting SS, and he performed worse at 2B. Not a good sign. His approach at the plate needs to be greatly improved.
  11. And don’t forget the chance he gets injured in the future. Our graphics department team is cooking up an epic “Dirty Deeds Tonkin Cheap” entrance as we speak
  12. Best bullpen in baseball ™️
  13. 18 straight Tigers retired. As expected from this high octane bullpen
  14. He’s gotta be the most interesting man in the world or something. Dude gets called up and immediately gets a corner locker to be one of the leaders on the team
  15. 9 pitch inning. Good for Genesis
  16. I’m no mathematician, but how many days does he need to stay down to keep his rookie status in tact for 2026? That’s all they need to prove now
  17. Well this guy is left handed and breathing. Getting another opportunity he probably doesn’t get if he’s RH
  18. He’s busy working the county fair circuit. Then skip the MN state fair because that’s a big city
  19. One would call this high jacking a thread and trolling. Stop it.
  20. They’re still letting Paddack out to dry this game
  21. They’re quite tasty and versatile. For a good month+ every year they featured at H-E-B in Texas
