  1. yeah, when Sano, Grossman, Santana and Escobar would be put out there quite often (though not at the same time, though that might have worked. :-) I never compared Rosario to Jacque defensively, though Rosario does/did have brainfarts on where to throw the ball sometimes which is irritating. I haven't seen much of that this year. Jacque kept losing the ball in the roof.
  2. When did I complain about OF defense? I was higher than most on Kepler's defense (when many were down on it) and I've never had issues with Buxton's or Rosario's defense. But Rosario can't gete on base and his rookie season was boosted by a triples count not able to be maintained, which I expressed consistently. People want to complain about Mauer not producing like a 1B, but you know, LF is supposedly to produce similar to 1B as well. I can't see Rosario's ceiling as 'Above average overall'. I see quality defender suited to 4th OF. I've been saying that forever and nothing has changed for me.
  3. I seriously doubt Comey would have anything to fear by Trump leaking tapes of their conversations. Trump likely would. So if Comey does start talking, Trump will say something like, I'll release the tapes of our conversations soon' and then never do it.
  4. Well, Meyer was highly rated (which helped the rankings). Stewart was highly rated (which helped the ratings) and a few other pitchers (like Jay) who went plop too (May got jerked around). Berrios might make it, might not, but likely is a #3 at best in the majors. Buxton may never be the player that deserved the ratings he had for years. Rosario isn't a starter in the long term, Sano is a beast of a hitter and Kepler is likely going to be a quality regular. All teams have players in their system that become starters
  5. Our farm system was over-rated for quite some time and it's not worthy of being rated well now. Drafting a bunch of relievers in the hopes of converting them to quality starters was bad strategy and predictably backfired.
  6. The thing GoG1 had over GoG2 is that it was entirely new for a vast majority of fans. I had never heard of them so it was all new to me. GoG2 got a little too mushy at the end, but I loved it.
  7. The casting of Belle was spot on perfect. In fact, when i heard there was going to be a live version, Emma Watson was the first person to come to mind for Belle. She nailed it and the movie was great.
  8. Hughes turns 31 next month and his days as a top rotation guy was a total of one season. Mix in a couple #3 type seasons and the rest carp.
  9. He's still tied for first in DRS for CF (with Buxton). This reminds me of, I believe, two seasons ago when Arenado had a horrendous day or two defensively. Doesn't stop him from being the best defender(or tied for the best with Machado) at 3B.

  11. yeah, i just completely brain farted. I have mentioned him in previous posts in TD when talking great CF defense. dont know how i missed mentioning him this morning.
  12. yeah, i forgot to mention Keirmaier who is probably the best. I have mentioned him before as likely the best but just had a brain fart this time. Thanks for the reminder about him. So Kiermaier, Buxton, Inciarte and Pillar. Thats the cream of the CF defensive crop. Id put Hamilton ahead of Cain at the top of the next tier.
  13. For me he is in discussion for best fielding CF in the game along with Pillar and Inciarte. They have more of a track record, but he is right there with them. As far as the stats I use, he ranks tied for 1st in one and 2nd in the other.

  16. In a way I'm glad it was PPD. Game seven of Capitols and Penguins is on.
  17. Comey got fired due to a recommendation by the asst AG. He works for the guy who had to recuse himself (the AG Sessions) from the trump/russia investigation. Doubtful the asst AG did that without prompting from Sessions (who likely was prompted by Trump). A bunch of subpoenas came out today for that investigation and it was revelead today that Comey had asked for quite a bit more funding for the investigation. Gee, I wonder what the real reasons are for his firing? This is a coverup attempt, plain and simple. How can the AG who recused himself be allowed to even be involved suggesting the investigator of the trump/russia dealing be fired when he had to recuse himself from that investigation. And people are still buying Trump. Oh,and today he met with the Russian Foreign Minister.
  18. A reporter was arrested for repeatedly asking Health Secretary Tom Price about the health bill the House passed last week. You have citizens getting arrested for laughing at blatant lies during confirmation hearings (thought laughing was legal and lying to congress was illegal, but I guess I was wrong). The America we knew before Trump took office is no more.
  19. yes, all of this, yes.
  20. That pitch was thrown right in Benitendi's hot zone.
  21. I've never seen anyone beaned for being celebratory for a walk off HR. Seems like very team does what the Twins did last night when there's a walk off HR. Sometimes even for a game winning single.
  22. The infield was drawn in cause there was a guy on 3rd. He hit a sharp bouncer through the infield to score the guy from 3rd.
  23. And even though he did well and it was a joyous occasion, people still took their shots at him. Guess it's one of those can't help themselves kind of situations. I went nuts when I saw it. I was so happy for him and the team and to see so much joy from them all. I was glad I was nowhere near my computer at that moment, though.
  24. will do. Thanks
