  1. hangovers have a lot to do with draining of potassium that occurs when drinking. bananas, great and quick source of potassium.
  2. and bananas before you drink, and some aspirin
  3. If it's being used to change the name of an alcohol product, isn't it actually a stuporpower? :-)
  4. We embrace illiteracy in this country.
  5. stop ruining my fun with details. I wrote the wrong alcohol at first, I changed it.. In fact when you quoted me, it says tequila. read your post again :-)
  6. 'All I know is that for most of the women I've been around who got drunk on tequila, it made their clothes come off'--Joe Nichols :-)
  7. Well, to be fair, I've never been tested to see if I was or wasn't a pickled zombie.
  8. and to this day, she still isn't 100% convinced she DIDN"T birth Damien? :-)
  9. Whiskey. I remember taking, believe it or not (and in keeping of the origin of this thread), 13 shots of whiskey on Friday the 13th, last day of my junior year in high school. I had never had any alcohol other than communal wine before that day. It was over 90 degrees that day and I umpired two girls softball games that day with the first one starting 4 hours after my last shot. That was over 30 years ago. I still can't even deal with the smell of whiskey, much less drink it.
  10. Tequila stock dropped 50% when cameras got put on phones. :-)
  11. funny how most tequila stories can't be remembered.) Thanks goodness for smart phones, someone will be recording tequila nights from now on :-)
  12. Speaking of Pee Wee Hermann (Paul Reubens). Does anyone watch 'The Blacklist'? He played an awesomely creepy character on that show. Was only in a few episodes, but so awesome!
  13. Tequila story. So I was in NCO Leadership School. I was the class leader. A few of us drank ONE night in the dorm. We were drinking tequila and I ate the worm. That was the ONE night the instructors decided to pay us a visit. Now, drinking was allowed, but unfortunately I showed up to class like 3 minutes late the next day. That was when any chance I had for an award from that class went right out the window. I was a distinguished graduate and the master of ceremonies in both NCO Prep and the NCO Academy, but that one night of tequila during NCO Leadership school.... :-)
  14. that's a good problem to have. well, except for when a good friend of mine, who was like 120 pounds wet, got introduced to it while I was on leave (where I couldn't stop the disastrous introduction from happening).
  15. Got to love any post that has the word apropos in it. A great and under-utilized word.
  16. I knew that was coming, just didn't know who would pounce first :-)
  17. I thought they just went back to being mediocre in June like they were in April (and really most of the months other than May). Admittedly, my memory isn't what it used to be. Sano did play really well, though.
  18. I've had a lot of fun in Regina. Used to go there when I was in North Dakota. First time I went was with one of my favorite girlfriends ever. She actually became my girlfriend on that trip.
  19. That's because people in Chicago aren't scared of anything! :-)
  20. I imagine his peak will be next year or the year after. Can't discount his body type and how that will affect him down the road.
  21. Exactly. That's why I stick to calling people from Canada, 'Mounties'. Although, that might just be women from Canada that I call that :-)
  22. I'm sure that when teams are looking to trade for players, they have Dozier grouped in with the likes of Kershaw, Trout, Altuve and Votto on their most desired list :-)
  23. Yet another fantastic intro! And it's kind of funny because tonight, before attending the Salt Lake Bees game, I'll be eating at a place called Lucky 13, where one survey said they had the best burgers in the state. Planned this weeks ago. True story.
