    Isn't this the line-up everybody's been waiting for all season? Run some version (rotating the catchers of course) of this out there every night for these last 9 games and see what happens...

    Payroll does not equal talent. Cleveland's return on the $ is much better than the Twins return is. Vogt puts his players in roles they are comfortable with and the players play within these roles and their limitations. On paper the Twins are the better team - based on prospect lists and scouting reports - Cleveland gets more out of it's players and therefore gets better results.

    Breakdown for Royals, Twins & Tigers over last 10, 20 & 30 games (before today's games): Royals: 4-6, 7-13, & 14-16 Twins: 4-6, 8-12 & 11-19 Tigers: 8-2, 13-7, & 21-9 (including a 3 game sweep of KC and 2/3 from Baltimore) While the Twins have collapsed, the Royals have not taken advantage and significantly increased their WC lead, but I did not see Detroit maintaining this type of play over the last month+. Detroit may pass both teams....
