  1. How did they not score on that slow roller up the 1B line....
  2. Watched Ryan suffer through his start in ATL about this time last year, he figured it out after and had a pretty good season, maybe this year goes the same...
  3. Unacceptable to be up 2 after 6 and lose. A teams best BP arms are supposed to cover 7, 8, and 9 with the lead; maybe they give up 1 run, but should not give up 3 runs, especially when it breaks down to 1 run in each of the 7th, 8th and 9th innings. If the team thought these were their best BP options, its time to blow things up and bring the kids up, even if some of them have to do the BP thing for a year. Let's see if they can show any reason to keep them before the team needs to count on them,,,
  4. Corbin's line tomorrow - Valdez on Wednesday or Abel on Thursday? Twins have a habit of making bad pitchers look good...
  5. The only way he leaves is if he wants to. He has passed the no-trade part of his contract and turned it into 10 & 5 rights...not going anywhere he doesn't want to go.
  6. Tough to blame Buxton there as he's an aggressive baserunner, but he had to know the fielder was going to get it in quickly...who'd a thunk he throw behind him 🤦‍♂️
  7. According to the New Age Stat guys, all outs are created equal, but sometimes K's ae better, maybe he needs a return to the swing and miss days...
  8. But I thought he worked hard on rebuilding and simplifying his swing this off-season...
  9. My personal opinion (and you are welcome to your own) is that Draft Kings and other sports books, and Casino's (Treasure Island and Grand Casino included) should not be allowed to advertise or to be involved in professional sports or their venues due to the fact that it's a bad look as far as people already questioning results and tampering with officials.
  10. He also has a 5.92 ERA, has given up 23 HR in 117 IP, has a career 1.538 WHIP, averages less than 5 IP/Start, and will be 26 on May 22. Next closer maybe, but I don't think he will be the next "Ace"...
  11. PNC Park lives up to the hype, I went to a game there in 2024, saw Skenes beat the Reds. Would definitely go to this stadium again.
  12. Signs minor league deal, Twins probably could have matched this offer.... https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/02/reds-sign-nathaniel-lowe.html

  14. Accordong to Jon Heyman -"Ryan Pressly, who announced his retirement today, is going to work for the Twins. They also hired Michael A. Taylor, another recent retiree who should easily relate to current Twins. Pressly was one of the most clutch closers in recent times."

  16. They're waiting for a few more teams to DFA him before they claim him...
  17. Let's not compare Arraez to Gwynn, Arraez is not Gwynn. Gwynn had a higher career AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS, HR%, BB%, a lower SO%. He was not a station-to-station runner until late in his career when weight and knee issues slowed him up, though he had double digit steals as late as his age 37 season.
  18. Varland showed enough in the BP as a long reliever in '23 for the team to try him as a starter again in '24, that didn't work out, and his run as long reliever that year was horrible. In '25 he had great numbers with the Twins in short relief through the trade deadline, but regressed horribly in Toronto, including the play-offs despite (because of?) setting the record for appearances in one play-off season. He was not going back to rotation as he had been used in short relief all season, we'll see how Toronto views him. Jax was never going to go back to the rotation, or the team would have had him stretch out in the off-season between '24 & '25 and continued to do so in ST '25, especially with the concerns over Paddack's innings limit and questions around SWR being able to handle a full-season work load.
  19. D-Backs only on the hook for $11 MM over the final 2 years ($5.5 MM/yr); Rockies paying $5 MM ($2.5 MM/yr), Cards on hook for $26 MM ($13 MM/yr) - makes the Twins trade of Correa look a lot better...
  20. Especially if they lose a year of control if there's a lock-out in '27. Unless the clock stops during an owner's lock-out, not sure how that works.
