  1. After the Twins success against the Evil Empire this weekend, former Twin Griffin Jax gave up 3 runs over 5 IP and took the L in the Rays 5-1 loss to NYY tonight... Schlittler, like Ryan, had a nice bounce back game: 8 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 8/0 K/BB.
  2. I didn't want you throwing that sponge brick at your TV while looking for the game tonight...😉
  3. Jackson had wRC+ of 126 in June, 15/54 among MLB C with at least 30 PA (SSS I know, but most monthly stats are)... Yankee C had a wRC+ of 9 in June, ahead of only CHW (-1) and ATL (-31), that's why they are publicly acknowledging interest in Jeffers (maybe ATL should also)...
  4. And the International League is known as a hitters league. This move may help the team set bullpen roles, i.e. 7th inning guy, 8th inning guy, Closer...
  5. The Pirates and A's are both fading out of contention, but I suppose a winning streak by either of them could get them looking. The Cubs and Marlins are trending in the right direction and are both getting horrible production from their DHs. So is CLE, but I would prefer he be traded to the NL if the team is still in contention, though if they are in contention they may not move him. Larnach and Buxton could handle DH if they do move him. This would also allow the team to call up Emma or Roden, or both, to see if they are part of the future moving forward.
  6. While we all want to see the shiny toys, Jenkins is not on the 40 man, there is no hurry. However, Emma will be out of options next season, the team NEEDS to see what he provides this year because of that.
  7. Here's the moves that day, the only "injury" was Jeffers, I don't think the transfer of Acton from the 15 day to the 60 day would have been enough. 5/19 MIN Orlando Arcia INF 31 8.114 Contract selected from minors 5/19 MIN Justin Topa RP 35 5.044 Designated for assignment 5/19 MIN Alex Jackson C 30 3.036 Contract selected from minors 5/19 MIN Royce Lewis 3B 27 3.142 Optioned to minors 5/19 MIN Garrett Acton RP 28 0.031 Transferred to 60-Day IL 5/19 MIN Ryan Jeffers C 29 5.089 Placed on 10-Day IL 5/19 MIN Travis Adams RP 26 0.066 Recalled from minors
  8. On 5-19 Adams was recalled when Jeffers went on the IL. There were several other moves that day to get the roster correct, but the injury to allow the P to be recalled early was to a position player.
  9. Now there's a name TD could have some fun with....
  10. This is where the team needs a GOOD lefty option out of the BP...
  11. I think we may have seen the last of Mr. Fedko, not ready for prime time player...
  12. Called a base hit? MLB scorekeepers are a joke...
  13. From Wikipedia: It was during the 1982 season that the Twins' nickname of "Twinkies" truly solidified, a nickname that would haunt them through their World Series years and sneak back into the conversation during the 1990s and 2010s slumps.
