    Not actively rooting for any player to fail, just pointing out a very obvious problem/shortcoming a hitter has. He chases out of the zone, and does so early in the count. When he's going good it seems to work, but can not be sustained, MLB pitching is too good. Other posters, including myself, have stated this fact about many Twins players. Sorry if I struck a nerve by stating an obvious fact about one of your favorites.

    Even with the base-hit, almost half of the pitches he has swung at tonight have been out of the zone, and mostly early in the count or the first pitch of the PA.

    79 pitches through 5 complete, he should at least get to start the 6th....

    Agreed. I think the team wanted to see better swing selection, using all of the field a little more and, of course, more power.
