  3. Barger letting that drop for a single has the Twins right where the Blue Jays want them, bases loaded and nobody out...
  4. The floodgates have opened for "The Mick"...
  5. Maybe if you got on The Last Train to Clarksville you could...
  6. Not so sure of a sac bunt to move the runner over to get Outman to the plate with 2-outs.
  7. That PA by Keaschall is why we watch the team play the string out....nice battle and much improvement from his first PA of the game.
  8. He shouldn't be, he's only on round 2 of arbitration this winter...
  9. https://www.mlb.com/twins/news/mick-abel-expected-to-make-twins-debut Saints website still shows Abel starting tonight also....
  10. Since he broke the long 0-fer in early June, he is slashing .275/.332/.449 (.781 OPS) with 13 2B, 6 HR, & 30 RBI, not great, but over 162 games that's 40 2B, 19 HR, & 93 RBI. He appears to run hot/cold, like Buxton, disappearing for several games, then carrying the team for several. The most concerning part with him is the adjustment quote. Something's not working, so you work on it, and if the changes don't fix it, you go back to wasn't working in the first place. That's definition of insanity, I believe.
  11. Did you see how many times Castro got thrown out "being aggressive"? Or remember Miranda the few times he was on base? They were not aggressive because the players were totally lost on the bases, Watkins had no clue what to do in coaches box, and Correa and France were not moving more than one base at a time. Keaschall has injected some aggressiveness/speed into the team, Lewis seems to have his legs under him again, and the team in general now seems to be able to go first-to-third and second-to-home a little better, but this new found aggressiveness has also run them into outs (Lee against the Athletics was the latest example). I think the team is playing a little looser because the players have been able to settle into more defined roles.
  12. Because Correa and France were slooooow....
  13. He's called pitches lower than that a ball....not real consistent
  14. My son got married in the Alexandria area in July (not this year), the corn looked ready to harvest already, Up North we go by "knee high by the 4th of July"...
  15. Ouch, that was some bad luck right there...
  16. Good call, Lee. Can't make an out on the bases there
  17. The farmer's markets and road side stands have been selling sweet corn Up North for a couple of weeks now...
