Am I the only one who is worried about Buxton's strikeouts? He's hitting a lot of homers, but wouldn't he be better off putting the bat on the ball more often and beating out some singles (and doing what Correa just did, turning singles in doubles)? Especially if he's batting leadoff, I'd like to see a higher OBP even at the expense of some SP.
Nice interview with Lewis on the pre-game show. That's the first time I've seen him speak. Very impressive, as is his reputation. He could teach a few veteran players a lesson or two in humility and determination. I hope we get to see him on the TF field soon.
Yes, it all seems to depend on Correa, and he holds the option. Lewis is our shortstop next year if he leaves. If he stays, then we are still in a situation of great uncertainty because of his second-year option, but will need to find a place for Lewis if he continues to develop as he has recently.
I remember Wells vaguely from his time in the Twins' system, but I don't remember him getting that much attention. How high did he reach in the prospect rankings? Maybe mid-teens?
It seems like there are double audio feeds, one on the field and one with the broadcasters. When the ball is hit, I get two clicks just an instant apart, but clearly distinct.
Yeah. I don't recognize many names, though I don't follow bad teams from other divisions closely. My initial reaction was that there was an Odor (whom I remember from Texas), and that the rest of the lineup probably stinks.
Somehow this list does not inspire a lot of confidence! Only Milton was a successful starter.
