    That's why they didn't use Buxton in CF tonight. Winder is not planning on allowing any fair balls to be hit.

    Dick says he used the same phrase that he just used for Lewis's first assist to describe Nishioka's first play. Wow. Let's hope that's the LAST time that those two are compared!

    Lewis is #23. Not #93 or something. You'd think that the Twins actually expect him to be a big leaguer!

    "Fluff" schedule is a double-edged sword. At full strength, the team should be taking advantage of this to build their record and, we hope, a lead in the division. If they fail to do that, then the "non-fluff" part of the schedule that inevitably follows will threaten to drop us down the standings.

    The Twins are one Buxton injury (never far away) from fielding basically a minor-league lineup. We all hope that they do well, but surviving at .500 for the next month would be a good outcome.

    76th percentile whiff rate and 11th percentile K rate. Unless I'm misreading the numbers (possible) somehow he is striking out a lot without swinging and missing a lot. This seems fixable.

    GIDP seems to be what the Twins are best at.

    Wow. Varland v. Varland postponed in Wichita for the third straight night.

    Apparently it took a while before the Orioles got the message that opposing defenders are supposed to help the Twins score runs.
