  1. There are only 4 games remaining before the trade deadline arrives. To me, Gray does not spell urgency.
  2. If that is what the front office believes, then they should be trading everyone for prospects that haven't started their service time clock.
  3. Geez! Thre's a lot of time and effort put into making a trade. I thought the front office met on the morning of the trade deadline, got drunk, and started prank calling other teams.
  4. THANK you for ALLOWING me to BE content. That's very BIG of you. (The use of all caps is sarcastic.)
  5. That's a '27 problem? That's an every year problem. There hasn't been anyone in the Twins FO who was forward looking. Maybe Tom Pohlad will be different. The trade deadline and the upcoming off season will provide the answer. (Sounds like a magic 8-Ball saying - all will be revealed later.)
  6. The view from my TV is perfectly fine. And if the Twins aren't in the playoffs, I'm very content. And who cares what player is sitting in the dugout?
  7. The 2025 and 2026 seasons are certainly not recency bias, I agree with you that they need to think of 2027 and beyond. Trade all expiring contracts.
  8. I think every trade is a crap shoot. Injuries happen. Arms fall off. Your new hero falls on an icy step and blows his knee out (Southerners should not be outside in winter-like weather conditions).
  9. Let's see what happens today and tomorrow.
  10. The 30% chance to make the playoffs does not impress me. The playoffs are pretty watered down. Six AL teams make the playoffs. The six currently leading the race to the playoffs are the only teams playing over .500. That's sad. I would be far more interested in the odds of the Twins winning their first series (either as a wild card or division champion). My opinion is that the percent chance would be quite low. Time to trade (I hate the term "sell") Jeffers, Larnach, Bell, Ryan (if he indicates he's going FA), Kreidler, Wallner, Lewis, Martin, and Ober (some of these no one might want). Fill the roster with prospects and let's see what they can do with a full two month tryout. Attendance can't get too much lower and besides, we aren't fans because we want ownership to make money.
  11. I've checked two more websites and they show no wins in 2026. The Twins took 2 of 3 in July 2025. Statmuse.com Baseball-reference.com
  12. Interesting. Both MLB.com and ESPN.com show the Twins losing to Houston 8-3 on July 1st. I thought they had beaten the Dodgers in game one of their series but, again, both sites showed the Twins losing all three games. I don't know who to believe.
  13. Except the long-term contract will also lose value if there is a work stoppage. You "forgot" to factor that into your 2027 numbers.
  14. You are promoting Jeffers and Larnach as prime targets for Tampa Bay. But then you say that Tampa Bay consistently looks for players with "positional flexibility". Jeffers is primarily a catcher with occasional time at 1B. Larnach is a questionable LF, but should be a DH. Neither offer Tampa Bay positional flexibility.
  15. At least you used one period in the middle of this paragraph. That may be a record high for you.
  16. Decline the QO? Why would anyone turn down $23M for a one year deal? He can be a free agent after 2027, can't he? And because there may be a work stoppage during the 2027 season and you may be without an income, why not get paid as much as possible before you have to sit on your butt for a couple months?
  17. If the return is favorable, trade him. Otherwise, keep him. That goes for every player. Just asking "should they" is meaningless without knowing the return.
