  1. I'm confused. In the breaking ball section, you say that in 2025, Bradley's cutter had 5.6 inches of break. And in his first start, the movement dropped to 1.1 inches. In the following paragraph, you state that he is throwing it 2.5MPH slower. And your summary is that he sacrificed velocity for more movement and the pitch has become a true slider. My questions are: 1) How is Bradley getting more movement if the break went from 5.6 inches to 1.1 inches?, and 2) Does Bradley no longer have a cutter replacing it with a slider? As an aside, I have no clue what the difference is between a cutter and a slider. When I played, pitchers threw fastballs and curves, with an occasional change up thrown in.
  2. Why not have optimism? The Twins are currently tied for the second best record in major league baseball, trailing only the Yankees by just one game.
  3. Somebody might actually be using opium. Basing this on 6 innings of spring training is ridiculous.
  4. Those were the best odds you could get in Vegas? Or is that a typo and you meant 10,000 to 1? That would seem reasonable odds.
  5. Absolutely agree. I often read that Rodriguez will be promoted after he learns how to lay off pitches that he'll see in the majors. And how does anyone learn that skill if they are held in the minors.
  6. Rogers and Chafin are both "crafty veterans"? Are only left-handers allowed in the "crafty" fraternity?
  7. Here is my best guess at the pre-trade deadline date (assuming no trades) Infielders: lewis -3B, Culpepper-SS, Lee-2B, Keaschell-1B Outfielders: Jenkins-LF, Buxton-CF, Rodriquez-RF Catcher: Jeffers DH: Gonzales Pitchers (Starters}: Ryan, Woods-Richardson, Abel, Bradley, Matthews Pitchers (Starters}: Rogers, Chafin, Funderburk, Banda, Sands, Altavilla, Klein, Kent Bench: Clemens, Wallner, Caratini, Martin 😁😁
  8. If a pitcher exhibits control by throwing a fastball "middle-middle", then what good does control do? IMHO, if you really have "control", you can not only throw strikes, but you throw those strikes to places with witch hitters have trouble (which you define as "command"). If the definitions you have provided are the accepted explanations, then I don't want a pitcher who only has control. Plus, if you possess command (ability to throw strikes where you want them), then you also must have control (ability to throw strikes). Only one term is necessary.
  9. Please explain the difference. I've never understood and people quite often use them as catch-alls, rather than actually explain the difference.
  10. I firmly agree with many others that a four-man rotation in the outfield, featuring Buxton, Gonzales, Jenkins, and Rodriguez, would be far more interesting than Buxton, Larnach, Walner, and Roden (or Outman). Give the young trio a month or two in AAA, and if they are doing well, bring them all across the river at the same time - maybe on June 1st, the beginning of a long homestand. Great PR and assuredly a huge impact on attendance.
  11. If Roden keeps hitting, I hope he's in the battle for the 2nd or 3rd OF slot, replacing either Larnach or Wallner in the starting lineup.
  12. What an odd choice of video clip to put in an article about why Rojas is ranked so high. A belt-high fastball that gets crushed over the center field wall. Not a great recommendation.
  13. Many young pitchers are looking to make a name for themselves and push there way into the long term plans of the big league club. "there way"? In the very first line? It's "their" not "there".
  14. What specific trade offers are you referencing? I can't remember any names mentioned that weren't just speculation from hopeful fans.
  15. Please read the Diamond Centric article about propect evaluation. It more or less says your opinion is out of date.
  16. I would guess that one plays left field, one plays right field, and the remaining one plays center field. But that's just a guess. 😂
  17. "The site uses a psStuff+ stat, which mimics the Stuff+ stat we're all more familiar with." Says who? I thought PnStuff was a cartoon character and PnStuff+ was his older brother. I guess I'll stick to my personal favorite measure: Can he get people out?
