  1. Complaining for fun, about not PH for your worst hitter? No, it isn't just for fun.
  2. we were told we couldn't question molitor last year, he was "just a rookie".....and now we can't question the same moves so far this year. When can we question his not using his bench, or his odd penchant to pinch run?
  3. I'm going to go with "he was bunting for a hit".....because if either of those was a sacrifice (when I think I read they tried to do that in game 1, but I might be remembering wrong).......then he needs to go. Sacrifice bunting before inning 7 is a terrible idea, and even after inning 6, it is only a good idea in unique situations.
  4. I can't see the games......but one trend I notice is that they refuse to pinch hit for their worst hitter.....and that's a repeat of a trend from last year. That's not something that is anything other than the manager not doing his job. I don't get it. And, his obsession with pinch running for his good hitters who are on 1B, when that 1 run doesn't make or break things? Uh, what?
  5. Personally, now that games aren't on free tv anymore, I prefer day games. I can "watch" on gamecast in the background. I would never do that at home, when I can be doing stuff I want.
  6. So, Fien and Jepsen were bad, Buxton can't hit, and we are doubting the OF defense. What year is this?
  7. Normally I would charge a fee for using that, but I think given the circumstances, you get it for free this time.
  8. I'm guessing taking the over on teh SO number for the Twins is a good idea......
  9. I think that is certainly possible. I think it is the pitch recognition that he needs to work on.
  10. Working on the west coast for the first time......really hard to do the time translations in my head.
  11. I don't have a ton of faith in Perkins beating those numbers, but I love Escobar's odds to do so, and think Rosario will. However, I can't see the Twins being fast to pull the plug on either of them if they are struggling, so I don't share the "depth" argument much. Both will be given long leashes (and, imo, there is no depth at SS).
  12. If they could keep the quality, and seriously ramp up production (thereby dropping costs), I'd be in. Best car I've ever been in, and I don' really care about cars all that much.
  13. REALLY wanted to buy TSLA options before the last earnings announcement......could have nearly tripled my money. Coward. My cousin said that at one point, more than 700 people were in line in Scottsdale to order a new Tesla yesterday. He did.
  14. flipping a coin.......virtually.... Over it is!
  15. I just hope that if the guys in MN are struggling, and the guys in AAA are dominating, that they make moves quicker, rather than slower.
  16. I don't watch any minor league player live......how do Palka and ABWIII compare (as hitters)?
  17. For people that don't care what Papi says, there are a lot of posts....... Didn't Ryan throw lukewarm water on Palka, when talking to someone in ST this year? I thought that was in a minor league thread.....
  18. I wasn't arguing that either way........was merely pointing out why some people wanted Plouffe moved. I like Plouffe, but I understand both sides of the argument.
  19. It isn't about getting anything for Plouffe, though. It is 100% about putting the best team on the field. Some people don't think this is the ideal alignment.....
  20. Over, but man, vegas is good at setting these numbers. If one of their elite pitchers goes down, or Lindor, they are screwed, imo.
  21. What I've read on line is that teams feel like they have "perfect" information about their prospects, and less perfect information about other teams' prospects, and so risk aversion kicks in that if the other team is dealing this guy, they must know something. Or something like that. I do agree that it seems odd. But let's be honest, people hate change. They invested a lot of time and money in this guy, they know his strengths and weaknesses, what oh what is the other guy really like?
  22. No idea? Other than, as usual, I am more optimistic than Seth I do agree his counting stats could be down, as they try to get Arcia going also. But, he's 30......not playing him a lot is just a waste (if he's good, and he will be good). I say 25+ home runs, and an OPS closer to 800, so, I guess I am with Shane.
  23. Bonds is the best hitter ever maybe......Sano is not Bonds.
