  1. Remember the outrage here over Kubel and Bartlett, especially after St. Peter said the 25th man doesn't matter?
  2. Suzuki will not be anywhere near league average.........
  3. I want a Twin's prospect that is TOP 10 to be like Bryant, Correia, etc...... There is no shame in going back down, kicking rear, and then coming and being great........but it would nice if that wouldn't be an issue here.
  4. Very pleased that Kohl is starting out well. Good luck to him and all the others.
  5. Fair enough, Seth. It's hard to shake a perception with new data......If Gordon is great, I'd like him promoted this year. I think he'll be great, and therefore, I'd like him promoted this year. That's all that first post meant.
  6. In fairness, they turned Fuld into Milone. That's a pretty good deal.
  7. Well, I thought we were talking about the current lead scout, but sure, I'll give them 1.
  8. ah, right. My bad. Good point. Not how I'd do it, but no surprise I don't agree with their promotion policies.
  9. Here is a list of RP they've drafted that have become RP in the majors so far:
  10. I do NOT endorse this move. They are not short of corner OF. They are supposedly rebuilding. He's 34. I see no upside here.
  11. I think there is blame to go around.....more on Sano than anyone else. But some on the coaches, and some on the FO and manager.
  12. 13...AJ Puk 14...Nolan Jones 15.....Anfernee Grier 16...Forrest Whitley
  13. Just skimmed KLAWs top 50. Ouch. Good luck following this crew, Jeremy.
  14. I was talking about Arrieta and Bryant falling to them.......I think their luck may have turned. By coincidence, it happened when they got new leadership.
  15. I might, you want to be on that? I'm willing to bet the cubs are in the playoffs (barring several injuries) 5 times in the next 7 years.
  16. As you know, I agree with that part....but the Twins kept their two real assets, Dozier and Perkins. I can sort of understand the Dozier decision. And, yes, the Cubs have gotten lucky some, I agree with that. But, somehow, if a team is lucky over and over and over.....maybe it isn't luck. Maybe the team has mad skillz.
  17. I would bet they both cost themselves money.....but I haven't looked.
  18. I'm not ignoring anything......he has taken advantage of his assets, and succeeded in Boston, and now probably in Chicago. But, yes, we are off topic.
  19. I haven't looked at KLAW's top 50 yet, but he did say there was no way he could come up with 100 players he really liked in this draft. I don't recall him EVER saying that before.
  20. So no one on the Twins realized he couldn't hit those pitches, and worked on it in spring training? People really think the change of positions has zero influence on his struggles?
  21. Ya, turning a team into one of the best teams in the league, by copying what he did in Boston.....he deserves no credit for that. Seriously?
  22. I'd copy what the Cubs are doing, and load up on productive college bats.......but then, I'd copy what they've been doing for the last three years.....
  23. so, um, not a LOOGY? do they literally not trust young pitchers at all? I am, once again, not in agreement with the organization's handling of the bullpen. No real shock, frankly.
  24. Most "closers" are actually the same in terms of outcomes. There are few great ones, or awful ones.
