    What does Rush mean? There are plenty of guys that go from low A to AA or even AAA in a year, when they absolutely dominate. How many starts like this would he need to go up?

    It is unfortunate that these guys are hurt. They are out there trying to win for their teammates, and to provide us with entertainment. Getting hurt stinks. I will never question a professional athlete's pain tolerance compared to normal people, I've seen it in action. I too would prefer Meyer start for Milone. But, Molitor appears to be frozen in fear of using young pitchers (unlike young, bad, hitters). So, I'm not holding my breath.

    Agreed, Meyer should get some starts. Play for upside, please, try it with the pitchers.

    Ha, no.......I just decided to use my real name on sites like this going forward. Seems more fair to the athletes and FO types, not that they care at all. I also did it as an experiment, to see if it changed how I posted. I think, other than the last week, I've been more mellow. There is a lot of stress at home and work right now, I think that is multiplying the bad play of the Twins, in terms of my posts. I still very much want wins.

    I don't think so. They do need depth, and you can actually send Gibson down if you want. The problem is the guys you can't send up and down....and that they are just good pitchers, not great pitchers.

    how is that more pressure than AA? Or, do you mean someone else would be in that spot in AAA? in which case, I'd ask why.....why is the most likely best RP prospect they have right now not in AAA, in the closer role?

    I'm a believer. I think it is great he's up right now. I hope he never goes down again. I expect that at some point this year, he'll be their best starter. I expect him to over throw the first game, and not be awesome, but be good.

    IMO, it is a typical gamble on the low side, rather than the high side. A very risk averse move. There is no reason Berrios or Meyer can't start a game or two. There is no reason to worry about service time for a pitcher, he's either going to get hurt, or super expensive. They signed a 29 yo DH, and went with mostly veterans outside the OF, they are clearly trying to win this year. Worrying about 6/7 years from now, that's not consistent with the rest of their moves. Maybe that's the problem here.

    Ah, that makes sense. Thanks, I am sure your guess is correct on a pitcher or two coming down. And, I hope they are doing this to keep from messing with Chargois.

    He didn't even use Meyer.........so not sure what difference that made. He also didn't ever use Polanco or Kepler.

    Don't they both need to be on the 40 man next year? I don't think he's ready just yet.....nor is Garver.....but I'd be surprised if one of them is not in MN at some point this year.

    The should be embarrassed by this move, completely and utterly embarrassed. Odds any reporter in this town actually confronts them on this? Zero.

    Just out of curiosity.....do they not want Kepler in CF because he might actually be good, and then the roster crunch would be even worse?
