  1. Boston and New York are younger on offense, why are they winning so many games? Do you have any evidence that young teams don't win as many 1 run games? It isn't really that young of a team. There are zero rookies in the projected starting lineup. There are zero second year players in the projected starting lineup.
  2. Or just let him go. He's not a difference maker at all.
  3. So, trade prospects for another outfielder, but not a catcher? That seems like an odd use of resources to me.
  4. He is putting up four to five war.... And if his backup puts up one, that's not good? That's not worth dealing for?
  5. Which outfielder are we giving up on, to acquire another outfielder? Or third baseman, or middle infielder, which is why catcher makes sense, imo, they don't have any. They do have outfielders.
  6. Glad Cave or Wade is getting a chance. About time. Let's see how much he plays.
  7. Is Wade going to AAA finally, since they are down an OF? Not sure I get this move, they need arms, I think. The Angels are missing a ton of players sure to injury. Maybe success isn't all about health....
  8. I believe fangraphs had Jeffers 74th. So I'm not sure as you are this is a huge under slot draft pick. Still no idea why they traded their pick away.
  9. There's no good reason to keep him in AA either. There is a good reason to promote him, and that's to see if he might be ready to help next year, or if they need to find a RH OF, DH, 1B on the market.
  10. It doesn't say a whole lot.... But there might be a nugget here... https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/american-league-draft-recap/
  11. This. And I don't think anyone was calling for someone that had never led before either. This team isn't that good, they weren't all that good last year either. And there is little depth. Does anyone think they are close to Boston, NY, or Houston? Or Seattle or LAA? This is partly on the front office carrying two useless bullpen arms for weeks, yes, that does matter and we are seeing that now. I hope no one ever again says the last player or two on the roster doesn't matter. There are some things to like about this team, but not enough, and not enough to love. It's a five hundred team, just like many of us thought.
  12. I don't agree with people that Sano doesn't care, but then, I have no idea and neither do you. But, I'd guess it is very rare for elite professional athletes not to care, as a rule. Buxton? I have doubts he'll ever be a good, consistent, hitter. Take out his September numbers, and it really hurts to look. For this year? The team is probably toast. But I don't think it helps future years to send any of the core down....
  13. The dodgers are overcoming.... With almost nothing from the best pitcher in the game, and losing seager... And more.
  14. I have zero interest in a rental this year..... So Realmuto, prospect, or what they already have for me.
  15. Not sure they can play them all.... But agree there is a numbers game here
  16. Can't believe I am typing these words.... Extend Kyle Gibson.
  17. Do canon arms matter in an era where no one steals? I hope not. Hit and frame.
