  1. Martin has to be added after the season, so that isn't it.
  2. He could be in AAA and still be on the 40 man roster.....ready in case Castro or MAT can't play (or Buxton).
  3. Good for him. I'm hoping he gets a real shot to play.
  4. Sure....if they can deal Lee for a legit SP, I'd consider that too. Probably not Lewis, though his injury history makes me nervous....I see him, if healthy, as a STAR.
  5. I'd love for Lewis to be the starting CF (or Martin)......and for Lee to be at third. But I don't believe Lewis will be there for a second. We'll know in March/April....
  6. Julien is at 2nd if they don't trade him. 100% of the time. Where would they play Lee if Lewis is at third and Julien at 2nd? AAA.
  7. Buxton hasn't played more than a third of the games in a year almost ever.....Martin or Lewis will play more CF than Buxton next year and every year after that. If Lewis is at third, no idea where Lee is other than St. Paul.
  8. We'll never know if Lee can play until he's in the majors......It's all about Lewis' and CC's health....if they are healthy, Lee sits in ST. P as insurance.....I doubt, very much, as you point out, he will hit like Julien. Julien has been awesome.....and I believe he'll be somewhere between his peak this year and Steer.....My point is that they have depth, but not much young pitching that anyone trusts. Depth is great! But having more starters that are great is better.....
  9. Ya, I'm not convinced I'm right, nor am I convinced I'm wrong. I'd bet good money he's the starting 2B next year.
  10. Well, unless Lewis also moves to the OF, Lee will sit in AAA no matter how he plays, until there is an injury. We know that, given this year. So, I do see a logjam. I'd rather move Julien for a really good pitcher and have more good/great players in the majors, than sitting in AAA.
  11. I'm not worried about his hitting at all....and he's more than good enough at it to be a full time DH, IMO.....but that seems like a bad plan. I'm fascinated that so far people don't have an issue, given how this board was split on the Arraez deal......
  12. He's worth every penny.
  13. Zero people will agree with me.... But I've thought about the team trading him. He should fetch a great pitching prospect plus..... And Lee can take over second. It would be a ridiculously risky move....... That won't happen.
  14. Shouldn't be an issue, their system is loaded, right? Yikes, that team will be awful for years.
  15. 100% he'll be the best on this list, unless Stewart is fully healthy, then it might be him. Varland should be pitching one inning at a time right now.
  16. I'm hoping Varland is more of a one inning guy. They better not need bulk relief in the playoffs.
  17. sure, that's all I meant......but I doubt they put him on the 40 w/o calling him up asap. Not that anyone needs replacing who is playing al lthe time.....
  18. so you are arguing they are smart, and petty children?
  19. If Martin isn't up today, I can't see it happening. If he's not up today, he can't be on the playoff roster. He should have been up two weeks ago, but having Luplow on the team seems to be their preference.
  20. He should have been moved already....so yes, agreed. He's not starting this year, but MIGHT be good out of the pen.
  21. to get better in the future and save money.......do you really think they'd spend money just to spite the Twins, based on years of watching CLE not spend money? They did this to try to win. Nothing more or less. Owners and GMs aren't petty children.
  22. no, they did not do this to spite the TWins. They did it to try to win the division. Seriously. Why would you think they'd flush money down the toilet to spite the twins, based on all their actions over the years?
  23. I have no idea what you're talking about......the Guardians are trying to win the division.
