  1. I know minor leaguer for minor leaguer trades are rare, but I'd be up for some of these going for younger, high ceiling, types.
  2. Just no idea what they trade for if everyone is pretty healthy.....OF or RP, but I hope none of the names we are mentioning go for a rental RP.....
  3. Ya, I'd take him if I was Oak or KC for sure. Likely Detroit also. So, I'd be shocked if he's left unprotected if he hits at all this year.
  4. Hard to see anyone keeping ERod on their MLB roster all year next year, but stranger things have happened I guess.
  5. Enlow is in AAA, and two injuries from being a starter in MN, he's not being left unprotected. The money means nothing on him or Severino, they left both unprotected this year, but both have been healthy and taken steps forward. I'll give you Keirsey. Carnargo is young and might be a catcher. You don't let that walk. The main point? They have a lot of guys that will be taking up 40 man spots, and that doesn't include signing any FA next off season, which they might do.
  6. He has a full no trade clause. Who is trading for him if he's "not good" as you say?
  7. Big fan, but I'd trade him at the deadline. It might not work out great this year, but I have no doubt they can fill the position next year. I'd just put Julien there and hope there aren't a lot of opportunities for him ..... Unless you want to put Lewis or Farmer (late innings for sure with the lead) there and put Farmer or Miranda at 3B (Lee isn't ready). There is no guarantee that any of the options (Lewis, Lee, Martin, Julien, Severino......et. al.) will work, but, IMO, it is better to move on too soon, than too late. If they can get a top prospect for him, plus a flyer? I do that all day long and roll the dice that one of those guys is a good 2B next year.
  8. They almost need to make a trade from depth again. That's what people forget about last trade deadline..... Keirsey, Severino, Martin, Carnargo, Enlow are 100% getting traded or protected, IMO.
  9. I mean, he should be playing 1B every day. Kiriloff can move to LF or RF (when Miranda is ready). They didn't play him at first this year because he was the starting 3B...... I'm hopeful, still, but was never as high on him as the rest of the site seemed to be. Leewis, IMO, should be the starting CF next year. I'm not holding my breath on that. I agree Lee and Severino are a year away.....
  10. Back to the surgery, it makes sense to wait. He can play, hopefully, thru August, have the surgery, and be ready for April. It makes sense to use the season to work on hitting (and fielding at 2B?) and use the off season for recovery. IMO.
  11. The goal of everyone is to avoid cutting into the human body if possible....
  12. dumpster diving? They have the highest payroll and biggest deals in team history.
  13. LF or 2B or CF were always the option for him. No idea why he kept playing SS. As for surgery, as with any human, the goal is to avoid it if possible. We'll see. I feel bad for the young man. He's not had any good luck (health wise) in 2 years.
  14. AK in right, Kepler sitting tonight, so that's a start I guess....
  15. Did they? Who did that? Then there are the posters that are sure he could play, even though the people with that data aren't playing him....
  16. Diggs is whining? About Allen? Wow. Not really surprised.
  17. That pitcher was not good, and not young. If anyone thought he'd be this good, the Twins wouldn't have originally gotten him for virtually nothing.
  18. mike: The Twins seem to have painted themselves into a corner here, and just need to hope Buxton and CC and Polanco hit…..Kepler hasn’t hit for three years, would you move on? 2:11 Avatar Jay Jaffe: They’re committed to Buxton and Correa long-term, and when you do that, you have to be prepared for the occasional lag in production but hope they eventually approximate something closer to their projected capability. As for Kepler, he’s been a fixture in the lineup since 2016 and still has just two seasons of above-average production to show for it, and those came in 2019-20. It’s past time to move on, and worth seeing what Matt Wallner can do even if he does have some holes in his game.
  19. It really is amazing that anyone thinks he's healthy enough to play, but the FO just doesn't want him out there.....seriously amazing.
  20. Guessing here, but they trade a few minor prospects for some RP. It's hard to see what more they could/would trade, assuming they continue to hover around .500 and with the players in the majors and AAA / AA. Me? Well, I'd do a lot of things right now, but it's not up to me, and you asked what I think they will do.....
