    Six games.... Corbin Carroll was 2-23 in the first six games of the nlcs., was he not good? Why are people looking at six games and not the season? Wallner played 44 games in LF and accumulated 1.5 fwar.... A pace that was the second best in all of baseball in LF.

    I was talking about fans ripping the trade and that SWR will never be anything (see this site and others). He's clearly not going anywhere for 24....but I agree, it is a big year for his future in MN.

    My son and I have been thinking of flying out for the saints game, followed by the wild game that night. Ticket prices doubled after the SF win, which has me rethinking the idea. My dad said not to worry, they'll drop again after the Vikings lose to the Packers.....fans....

    I'd guess the issue with the hitting and scoring is ability way more than approach or philosophy. The team hit and scored better with Lewis and Wallner than the guys they replaced....and I'm guessing the approach was no different for Wallner than Gallo....

    Unless they are 100% convinced Buxton can't play, they aren't dealing Jeffers for a CF..... who has an EXTRA number 1/2 starting pitcher, and needs a catcher and is close to the playoffs, and is willing deal a great SP?

    I knew clicking on this story would make me shake my head in wonderment, and I was right. Just. Wow.

    The data is very clear, you are more likely to score by the HR in the playoffs than getting multiple hits in a row, BECAUSE the pitching is better. It is much harder to get 3 hits in an inning in the playoffs than in the regular season.
