  1. Sure, call it tension, competitiveness, whatever. Doesn’t really matter in the long run.
  2. I started off by saying I had no opinion on whether Gray should have been pulled last night. That is as non-assuming as you can possibly get. No need to call anyone out for saying they have no opinion. If you want to argue without evidence that the bullpen was not addressed this past offseason, fine. I am not going to call it out every time I see it somewhere in a thread. These summer months are the time to get these extra innings out of Gray. He is a pro and should be given a motivation to pitch deep and work out of his own jams when necessary.
  3. I don’t know what’s going on, but obviously Sonny Gray is not a big Rocco fan lol. So I am going to assume there is a reason for that, but—maybe not. The off field and interpersonal stuff is a big part of being a fan for me. Maybe Sonny Gray always feels this way about his manager on all his teams? Good question and I don’t know. So there you have challenged me in a good way to go back and maybe look at old quotes and try to get more information.
  4. Please stop following me around, nitpicking posts you don’t like, and accusing me of having agendas or narratives. Please.
  5. Good question and not sure. We don’t hear from Maki enough( maybe he likes it that way). The tension between Gray and Baldelli is palpable. Whatever, raise a toast to competitors.., 🥂🥃
  6. I fully expect the Twins to take 3 of 4 still, and a split wouldn’t be the end of the world.
  7. No opinion tonight on whether Gray should have stayed in the game tonight, but Rocco has given him a quick hook plenty of times in the past. Rocco needs to set aside whatever personal differences he has with Gray and work him like a rented mule, squeeze out every possible inning and save the pen. This is Gray’s last season in Minnesota either way.
  8. I didn’t realize his numbers weren’t that great, so it makes sense to some degree.
  9. huh? That seems just weird to continue jerking around Larnach like that. Anyway, yeah I heard Gladden say that Buxton was running full sprints before the game, max effort, and expected Buxton to be activated in the next day or two.
  10. If this is the real Correa, and he keeps it up, then the pennant race this year is going to be lacking in drama. 🙂
  11. I will assume you meant to stop after the first sentence, and I will call it a wrap.
  12. Splendid. Maybe we get an update on Buxton’s ribs, soon. We all want a healthy Buxton, I’m hoping you can agree with that.
  13. “I underestimated how quickly Buxton would go from all-defensive CF to DH. I thought there would be a stop in the corner outfield in between. The guy can't keep his knees healthy enough to practice catching flyballs so he can prepare for an outfield spot.”
  14. Is there any recent evidence that his knees that are healthy enough to bat and run the bases are not healthy enough to start warming up in the outfield and ramp him back up to play center?
  15. I have no doubt that Buxton’s knee, or knees, bother him sometimes. No doubt at all. Same with Taylor’s back, Correa’s feet and ankles, same with Luis Arraez’s knees, same with pretty much every player out there, are dinged up to some degree. A few people here are speaking as if they have medically evaluated Buxton themselves. One poster just declared that Buxton’s outfield career is already over.
  16. As soon as Buxton’s ribs are feeling better, yeah, I think he needs to start ramping up for center field. This is like the most popular and least controversial Twins take ever.
  17. Yup, it’s time for Buxton to go play center field, and then maybe Taylor is a trade piece. At one point they were going to ramp up Buxton gradually. I don’t know where they are with that.
  18. That's the article that got Stu money, GOT STU PAID
  19. Sure, Sunday's starting pitcher Rex might only be a dog, but he's a really good dog. Who's a good dog? Rex!
  20. By the time the fans and experts all saw the evidence and agreed that strikeouts don’t matter, there was a new theory already being used by the better teams that made the strikeout theory out of date. The Twins seem to be behind the curve when it comes to these theories.
  21. We are coming up on the two year anniversary of the Berríos trade - though I would never confuse you for the fidgety type. 🙂
