  1. I heard Gladden interview Kepler either this spring training, or last year before spring training. Gladden asked Kepler what he did over the offseason. Kepler said, and I’m not exaggerating by much: “hit some beaches, did some hiking, some zip lining, maybe a couple parties, basically tried to keep it chill.” That kicker though: doing those things was laying low compared to other offseasons 🙂
  2. Interesting. I’m only listening. Knowing Kepler, he probably just didn’t feel like running another 90 feet.
  3. Radio guys trying to figure out why Kepler didn’t score, Gladden saw that Kepler was looking in the outfield, but radio guys didn’t have that missing piece that you saw.
  4. “ill-fated Mahle” i kind of like. It has that old school ring to it, like, Hey everyone, remember Terry “Ill-Fated” Baker, who played for the St. Louis Browns in 1916 and is the only player to die from being hit by an asteroid?
  5. Rocco should thank the fans in his presser tonight! 🤣
  6. Field goal attempt - wide left (musta been a former Viking kicker)
  7. Damn would have been nice for Castro to get an outfield assist too
  8. A gift, for all the box score aficionados out there
  9. Holy cow slow game, Batman. I thought they had a pitch clock this season Most of us 9-to-5ers are going to need to move to the west coast tonight, just so we don’t have to go to bed after midnight again
  10. Good observation. You may be correct. I saw T. France and was surprised so I checked to see if there was another France, and,… yes Also, nice try Randy Dobnak! You can’t fake your way onto another teams roster by just trimming your moustache, to get back to the majors!
  11. I think what makes this interesting is that how often do the Cardinals declare they are sellers? Probably not often
  12. I could see them trading Goldy, but no idea who he would waive his no-trade for, and yeah I don’t think the Twins are a good trade partner. Maybe he ends up back in Arizona?
  13. I’m not really following the Cardinals this year but I assume the hitters that the Twins want will be pretty close to the same hitters other teams would want.
  14. You are probably correct about Arenado, I didn’t realize he had more years on his contract than he did (and year over year the salaries are de-escalating, so very team favorable). but Goldschmidt is short, I’m pretty sure. I mean, this are the pieces every team will be asking about, not just the Twins.
  15. I mean are people even reading the thread title? It says the Cardinals are increasingly becoming interested in trading at this deadline, for pitching …
  16. No I agree. Ober looks promising. But the Cardinals aren’t winning it this year and people always say every player has their price.. So if not Ober then Varland enters the conversation. (Assuming the Twins and Cardinals are talking)
